Aulnay is a busy little town famous for it's 12th Century church on the pilgrimage route to the shrine of St James of Compostela. There is a delightful market in the town square on Sunday and Thursday mornings.
The well-preserved church in Aulnay is renowned for its remarkable Romanesque carvings. Also in the town is the 12th century tower 75 ft high with walls 12 ft thick; famous dovecote originally with 2000 nesting boxes is well worth a visit!
