Readers of the January issue can win a luxury week at Chateau de Percey in the heart of Burgundy's countryside and vineyards.

We've arranged a great competition prize for the current issue of French magazine - a week for two at the Chateau de Percey in Burgundy.

The winners will stay in the Romantic Gite, a spacious boutique apartment situated in the former art gallery of the chateau featuring a four poster bedroom, lounge with garden views, kitchen and bathroom. They also receive a bottle of Crémant (local Champagne) in the fridge and a four-course dinner on Saturday night.

Recently restored by chatelains Lara and Pauwl Lunow, this is a true retreat where guests can stay in one of three apartments and enjoy table d’hote meals. The decorations are modern with antique accents and the chateau is surrounded by lush gardens with a swimming pool in a rural setting close to the Burgundy Canal, River Armançon and the vineyards of Chablis.

Explore the chateau and grounds, take a vineyard tour and sample fine local wine, stroll by the canal or river, visit famous abbeys, chateaux and gardens, browse antique markets, discover Burgundy delicacies at nearby escargotière, cheese, venison and foie gras farms, enjoy some golf or trout fishing.

'French', a magazine for Francophiles with features on travel, food and life in France, is on sale now through newsagents and the competition is on page 51.
