Whether you’re in France or elsewhere, we wish you a truly happy New Year from all the team at French Connections.

What better way to spend some time during January than planning your next trip to France? The most beautiful villas, gites and chateaux book quickly so make an early enquiry to be sure of maximum choice in all the popular holiday regions.

Making French Connections is, of course, what we do - and we know that our owners are looking forward with enthusiasm to connecting with guests for the 2017 season.

Many offer great deals and incentives on holiday homes at this time of year and these will build up as we go into January, so it’s the perfect time to grab an ‘earlybird’ bargain. You’ll find these deals in our Special Offers pages.

Remember that if you like the look of a holiday home, you can ask the owner questions via their listing page or request that they phone you for a chat. They know their property and the local area really well and most are happy to help with travel routes, facilities for babies, local sights, days out and where to eat and shop.

And we hope to see you at The France Show at London Olympia from 27-29 January. We’ll have a stand there and are excited about meeting new and existing property owners,  chatting to holidaymakers and helping anyone who’s looking to buy in France.

  • France comes to London at the France Show, 29th January

This year’s France Show is being held from 29th to 31st January at the Olympia exhibition centre in London. If you’re yearning for all things French, then get your fix here!

The show aims to bring the best of France together under one roof, with food, wine, property, holiday ideas,  entertainment and shopping. There’s a great French market with authentic stalls selling cheese, bread, delectable patisserie and other delights - and the bonus of a nice chat with the French producers and vendors.

The cookery theatre is always popular, with demonstrations from top chefs, as are the tutored wine tastings. I took part in one last year and learned a lot about flavour and that fascinating concept of terroir. You can also brush up French language skills, play pétanque and enjoy a lively performance of the can-can!

Various French regions are represented to inspire new holiday destinations, with locals who know all about what to see and do in their area. The France Show also hosts the largest French property exhibition in the UK. Use the link below to buy tickets.

Organisers of the France Show are the publishers of Living France and French Property News magazines, where you can see major features about our owners, accommodation and properties for sale every month.

The France Show, held annually in London, is the next best thing to a trip to France and a must for Francophiles. This year it's being held at Earls Court, from 18th to 20th January.

  • The 2015 France Show - next weekend at London Olympia!

If, like us, you love France, the France Show is a great opportunity to dive in and get a fix of all things French. Described as the UK's biggest celebration of France, the show moves this year to London Olympia and runs from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th January 2015. Buy discounted advance tickets at franceshow.com

The show aims to bring together the best of France under one roof, so you’ll find authentic food to stock up on in the French market and, of course, plenty of wine. Last year I learned so much about vintage, terroir and bouquet by taking part in a small tasting and seminar on a wine importer’s stand – fun and informative.

If you’re looking to buy, there’s a large property section with expert advice and, for holidaymakers, information about the regions. You can sit down and enjoy cookery demonstrations, the language theatre and seminars or play a game of pétanque and even watch a lively can-can.

All visitors receive a goodie bag which contains the January issue of French Property News magazine. As you read it, check out the article by our very own Glynis Shaw highlighting some inspiring properties for sale through French Connections. Could one of them be your dream home and/or holiday rental in France?
