Romantic breaks in France
February maybe the month that Valentines Day falls on, but France makes a great romantic destination at any time of the year. Paris is of course well known as the city of love throughout the world, but many of France's smaller towns and cities make just as good a setting for a romantic break. Choose from cosy apartments and cottages or boutique hotels, enjoy some of the world's finest food and wine in an intimate, candlelit restaurant and explore atmospheric side streets.
Relax in Lot-et-Garonne
The region of Lot-et-Garonne takes its name from the two rivers that meander through its rolling green countryside. It is one of the least populated areas of France, meaning that it is also one of the most peaceful. There are miles of waterways criss-crossing the area, passing through dozens of medieval villages and towns, making exploring by boat a unique possibility. There is also a great variety of markets and festivals, made all the more enjoyable by the Mediterranean climate.
