The charming three storey restored village house is situated in the tranquil village of Flassan, at the Southern foot of Mont Ventoux, 11 miles NE of Carpentras.  As it is also the owners’ home it is comfortably furnished and well equipped.

Flassan is a beautiful ochre village with small square, fountain and lavoir.  There is a bar and restaurant in the village very close to the house, together with a small, well-stocked grocery shop (which doubles as a depot de pain for your morning croissants) in the village.  There is a good selection of restaurants and shops, and a market with local produce and crafts (Mondays) in nearby Bedoin (4 miles) and restaurants and shops in Villes sur Auzon (3 miles).

First Floor: 

• Sitting room - with second wood burning stove

Second Floor: 

• Bedroom 2 - huge room with double bed, leading onto roof terrace, with far-reaching views over vineyards, olive groves and cherry orchards
• Sunny roof terrace - with dining table, chairs and barbecue.

Includes: fridge-freezer, dishwasher, gas hob, washing machine, colour TV/VCR with satellite reception including UK channels which are free to view as well as French channels.  There is also a DVD player and separate radio/CD/cassette player and electric heating

Broadband Connection:  There is an ADSL modem in the house for your use. You can connect a laptop via the Ethernet cable for a high speed Internet connection or via Wi-Fi. There are full instructions in the Welcome Book in the house. These instructions are for Windows PCs using Internet Explorer. The telephone is connected to the ADSL modem and utilises VoIP technology. By using the VoIP line you may make free calls up to a total of 15 minutes per week to landlines in the UK, Ireland, Australia and to both landlines and mobiles (cell phones) in the USA and Canada. For UK clients only: We also have a separate number to give to your family and friends in the UK. They can dial this number from any landline in the UK to ring the house telephone but the call is routed through our VoIP (broadband) connection, so they only pay 2p/min.

About the location

Flassan is situated approximately 30 miles north-east of Avignon.  It is 650 miles from Calais and approximately 1 hr 30 min from Marseille and Nimes airports.

The village sits at the foot of Mont Ventoux with stunning views of the mountain and surrounding vineyards, cherry orchards and olive groves.  The area is known for its clean air and blue skies making it perfect for painters and photographers (and star-gazers!).

How to get here

From North: Leave A7 autoroute at Junction 22, head for Carpentras. In Carpentras, keep to main road through suburbs of town. At the viaduct over road turn left for Bedoin/Mont Ventoux (D974).   From South: Leave A7 at Junction 23 for Carpentras. Follow one-way system around town and signs for Orange and Mont Ventoux. Do not go under viaduct towards Orange but keep on D974 for Bedoin.   Follow D974 for about 10 miles to Bedoin.   Just after first car park in Bedoin (long, narrow area on the right) turn right (Shopi supermarket set back on your right). This is Rue de Flassan. If you miss this go up further into town and turn right at mini-roundabouts – signed Flassan and Mont Ventoux. Follow either road through to Flassan (about 4 miles). There are one or two unexpected junctions on either route.
