Home description

Set amidst beautiful rolling countryside with views of the Pyrenees, Domaine du Renne is an oasis of peace and calm in the heart of the Languedoc.

We have 45 acres of natural woodland with cleared pathways for you to stroll along and enjoy the views and wildlife – red squirrels inhabit our oak trees!

Le Renne is only 10 minutes from the market town of Limoux where you will find a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants, a market on Fridays and several excellent wine caves.  For fresh bread and a small shop selling basics Alaigne is only 5 minutes drive away.

Accommodation detail

The larger of the 2 gites, this has:

• Kitchen/sitting/dining room - a large spacious open plan room. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and has an ample supply of crockery, glasses, cutlery etc. There is a comfortable sofa and a couple of armchairs if you wish to sit inside and of course for winter when you may wish to use the woodburning stove. 
• Double bedroom - with fitted wardrobe and 1 twin bedroom with fitted wardrobe. 
• Shower room - with washbasin and shower, a separate WC

Background heating is provided in the bedrooms and bathroom.  A CD player, Satellite TV (BBC TV & radio), video are provided for your use. 

Outside

Use of our salt water swimming pool and for those lovely balmy evenings one expects in the summer months in the South of France there is a private terrace with a table and chairs for outdoor eating – the terrace leads from the sitting area.

About the location

The Languedoc guards some of the most stunning scenery in France – from mountain to coast there is always a beautiful view around the next corner.

The Mediterranean coast with excellent beaches is only 1-hour’s drive, so there should be something to keep everyone happy!

Further afield Andorra with its duty free shopping can be reached in just under 2 hours and if you choose to visit us in the winter there is excellent ski-ing at Ax Les Thermes, 1½ hours away.
