This converted barn, set in 4 acres of land, is situated in rolling countryside and woodland, an ideal place to get way from it all and relax.  Or, for those who enjoy walking, there are numerous marked footpaths nearby, enabling you to observe wildlife in their natural habitat.  It is close to the village of Trémolat, a pretty Perigourdin village, situated alongside the river Dordogne.

Outside:

The house stands in a large plot with the balcony overlooking the private garden and heated swimming pool. Relax here and, if you are lucky, watch the wildlife go by, deer, foxes and even wild boar have been observed from here, animals that would hide if you are around, come out and give you a free wildlife show all of your very own. There is a 10m x 5m inground heated swimming pool to enjoy, sun loungers are provided so you can relax by the pool. For your benefit there is a solar heated shower next to the pool. The pool house has a changing room facility and a fridge, so you can cool your drinks ready for when you relax. Areas are provided enabling you to enjoy outdoor games: including an outdoor chess set, badminton area and a table tennis table. Below the balcony there is a terrace with patio furniture and a family sized barbecue. A rotary washing line is provided. There is ample parking for cars.

The accommodation comprises:

First Floor

• The main rooms are elevated, offering extensive views over the surrounding countryside.
• The spacious open plan beamed living area is light and airy with two French windows leading to a balcony for outside dining.
• The kitchen is fitted with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
• A corridor leads to the three large bedrooms.
• The master bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed.
• A second bedroom has three single beds while the third is a twin room.
• Also off this corridor is a family bathroom, with glass fronted shower, bath, wc and hand basin.

Ground floor

• Entrance hall with stairs to the first floor and doors leading to the downstairs rooms.
• There is a family room with a large selection of books, board games, TV and DVD player. In this room is an additional single bed.
• A utility room with washing machine, an extra fridge and ironing facilities.
• Off this room is a second toilet and shower.

About the location

The tiny hamlet Les Fontenelles, comprising of three houses, is located in a valley near to Cales.  Just 15-20 minutes drive away there are three busy and colourful market towns: Lalinde, The Bugue and Le Buisson, all of which have a good supermarkets and a variety of restaurants and bars. There are numerous delightful beauty spots in the locality; including the Cingle de Trémolat, medieval towns and villages, castles and prehistoric sites. For the wine connoisseur there are an abundance of vineyards - from the sweet Monbazillac of Bergerac to the clarets of wonderful Bordeaux, (many vineyards offer free wine tasting)! Within an hours drive you will find the tourist towns: Beynac, Domme, Les Eyzies, Sarlat and Roque Gageac The larger towns of  Bergerac and Perigueux are also within an hours drive.
