Uzes - Stone House with Lovely Views and Private Pool

Mas de l’Olivette is a traditional stone-built house in a beautiful natural setting. Built into a hillside, the spacious rooms are well appointed to give maximum comfort. It is set in attractive mature gardens, and surrounded by its own land, the house enjoys lovely views over vineyards to distant hills. 

There are several good terraces for dining, sunbathing or simply relaxing and admiring the view of vineyards and hills. The lawned gardens have mature olive trees, laden with fruit in the late summer and autumn. The swimming pool is kidney-shaped and has fantastic views over the local countryside.

Mas de l’Olivette is within a comfortable stroll of the village centre and is situated in the garrigues on the edge of St. Maximin.

St. Maximin is one of the most attractive villages in the Uzège, being on a south-facing hillside and built in local stone. The village has several popular restaurants, a bar and two “caves” selling locally produced wine. At 1km, is a large supermarket and commercial estate with other stores.

About St Maximin in Provence Gard, Provence - Cote d'Azur

Medieval Uzès (5km) has a fascinating history and the town is characterised by well-preserved, elegant town houses built in local limestone. Uzès offers an excellent range of shops and restaurants. Each Saturday, the town is filled by one of the best Provençal markets in the area. Speciality markets, fairs and other events are held throughout the year including Music Festival (July), Fete Votive (August), Wine Fair (August), Truffle Fair (January). Whenever you visit, there is always plenty to do.

  • Close by: Pont du Gard, Gorges of the Ardeche, Avignon, Nimes & Orange.
  • A little further afield: beaches, The Camargue, Aigues Mortes, Montpellier, Marseille.
