La Combe is a charming stone faced cottage in rural Brittany.  It adjoins 2 other farm cottages situated in a quiet, rural position, roughly 1 mile from 2 villages, La Chapelle Caro and Le Roc St. André where there is a very good butcher, and excellent bakers and small supermarkets in both villages. There are very good eating out possibilities in both villages.

La Combe is south facing with a full-length walled terrace, where meals can be enjoyed outside. It has been extensively modernised within the last 10 years and will sleep 5 adults, or 7 if you use the sofa bed in the living room. There is also a cot and high chair for a baby if required.

Ground floor

• Dining/Living Room: Open plan, comfortably furnished with beamed ceiling and fireplace with wood burning stove; electric wall mounted radiators; dining table and 6 chairs; French windows giving access to the terrace; sofa which converts to a double bed; radio/CD and tape cassette player.
• Kitchen: is fully fitted with fridge, sink (with beautiful view towards the river), combined electric/gas hob, electric fan assisted oven and microwave, plus breakfast bar and access to the terrace via sliding door. 
• Utility room: off the kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.
• Bathroom: has a bath with shower, washbasin and bidet.
• Separate WC.

First floor

• Bedroom 1: with double bed
• Bedroom 2: with twin beds
• Bedroom 3: with single bed and cot.
• Shower room: with washbasin.

Outside

The property looks out on fields and has a spacious garden to the front and rear, which is mostly grass, bordered with mature trees on the west and north sides. There is plenty of parking space. A gas barbeque, and table with parasol and 6 chairs for the terrace are provided.

About the location

La Chapelle Caro is just off the N166 dual carriageway between Ploërmel and Vannes on the coast to the south. The nearest seaside beach (Damgan) is within 40 minutes easy drive.

How to get here

By ferry to St. Malo (the closest), Cherbourg or Ouistreham (Caen) - La Combe is 70 miles south of St. Malo and the journey by car can be covered in 1½ hours via Dinan, Caulnes, St. Méen and Ploërmel. From Caen the distance is 170 miles by motorway and dual carriageway for virtually the whole route via Avranches, Rennes and Ploërmel. From Cherbourg the journey is 180 miles and after crossing the Normandy peninsular, joins the route from Caen. From Roscoff the distance is 125 miles via Morlaix, St Brieuc and Rennes with the majority of the route dual carriageway.

By air - there are flights to Brest, and Dinard which is the closest. There are also limited flights to Rennes, 40 miles from La Combe.
