A charming old country village house, in the heart of "La France Profonde" in pretty hamlet location bordering the beautiful River Creuse. Wonderful 10m x 5m floodlit pool and "secret garden" courtyard and large garden. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

This centuries old village house is full of character, from its oak-beamed ceilings to its terracotta tiled floors, to the original bread oven, once used daily by the villagers, which is now a focal point in the kitchen.

Le Jardin Secret is located in the quaint hamlet of Neuville, neighbouring the larger village of Yzeures-sur-Creuse with its many facilities. At the end of Neuville's quiet lane you will find the beautiful Creuse river, perfect for boating and fishing.

"Le Jardin Secret" takes its name from the secluded laurel hedged courtyard garden which has a "secret" feel to it; here you will find garden table and chairs and is the perfect place for peace and relaxation or for outdoor entertaining.

Accommodation detail

The property boasts a 10m x 5m floodlit swimming pool with roman end and is situated to the rear of the house accessed by the kitchen and is located within a large garden area with garden furniture. There are two barbecues (one gas-fired, one charcoal) and sun-beds.

The house sleeps six comfortably.

Ground floor comprises:

Terracotta tiles throughout.

• Kitchen - large room with feature bread-oven, gas-oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, two fridges and separate freezer.
• Dining room - large room with banqueting table seating 10 people
• Living room - is oakbeamed with wood burning stove. Satellite TV and comfortable sofas.
• Double bedroom - with oak-beamed ceiling and original tiled floor.
• Bathroom - with lovely white suite, basin, toilet, bath and separate shower.

First floor comprises:

• Two twin bedrooms - in converted granary
• WC - and basin

About the location

Yzeures-sur- Creuse, is as its name suggests situated in the river Creuse, Neuville hamlet is just two-minute drive from Yzeures and its facilities (doctors, large supermarket, bakers butchers chemist etc.) There is a recreation area by the river as well as other recreational activities (public swimming pool, tennis courts and children's play area).
