Home description

Salazac is a small, typically provençal 14th century hilltop village. La Maison d'Estelle is a south-facing 200 year old house situated on the edge of the village with wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards and wooded hills. The house sleeps 10 very comfortably, has a large farmhouse kitchen, 3 dining areas, 2 sitting rooms, pool, garden and a gym.

The accommodation is of an exceptionally high standard and includes:

• Gym - is situated in a restored vaulted cellar
• Pool room - is next to the gym, where there is a shower, WC and hand basin, convenient for both the gym and the pool, as well as a full size fridge to keep the poolside drinks nicely chilled.

First floor

• Kitchen - fully equipped, makes light work of self-catering and for dining the long old pine farmhouse table copes easily with 12 people. French doors lead onto the main terrace with fabulous views of the valley below.
• Utility room - with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
• 2 sitting rooms - one elegantly cool, quiet and comfortable; the other perfect for the younger generation with a TV/DVD/VHS player and WiFi broadband connection.

The 10 x 5m pool has a stone paving surround and a covered terrace complete with table and chairs for 10. There are plenty of comfortable sun loungers for relaxing; and a boule court and table tennis for fun. A large barbecue is provided in this spacious and private garden.

About the location

The nearby hilltop villages of La Roque sur Cèze and Cornillon are simply beautiful and a visit should not be missed. Goudargues with is waterways, village shops and restaurants has so much to offer. There are weekly markets in many of the nearby towns and villages. A visit to Uzès on a Saturday morning is a must! Avignon, Nimes, Orange & the Cevennes  are not far away & have much to offer. The coast at Montpellier is 1 hr 15mins by car & there are several river beaches close by.
