Dating from 1881, Chalet Alice Velut has been sensitively converted into 5 luxury apartments. Retaining much of the original timber and stone. Local artisans have created stone fireplaces, beautifully carved doors and hand made kitchens, which are featured in all the apartments. Every apartment has French doors off the lounge onto external balconies. All the apartments are decorated to the highest standard and are furnished with antique pine.

Covering the whole of the top floor of Chalet Alice Velut, Pierce Neige is a beautiful apartment with stunning views. This apartment can sleep up to 8 people and accommodation comprises:

• 3 double bedrooms (one en-suite)
• A separate shower room
• A spacious living room (with bed-settee)
• A dining area
• An open fire
• A well-equipped kitchen.

The kitchen is fitted out to the highest standard with a four ringed hob, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The apartment has all modern conveniences such as TV and Hi-Fi systems.

About the location

The Village St Martin de Belleville is a pretty Savoie village nestling around a 16th century church. The local shops are all in the centre of the village and are close to the apartments. The village boasts some excellent restaurants including those serving traditional mountain cuisine, a pizzeria and a 1star Michelin restaurant close by. There are a number of night spots in the village for those who want to party the night away, including our own Piano Bar, ‘Pourquoi Pas’, situated in a beautiful vaulted cellar and has lively entertainment.

How to get here

Self drive

Driving to the Alps takes between 8-10 hours and is 575 miles from Calais (depending on stops and speed). Crossing the channel can either be done by Ferry or the Channel tunnel. One of the best value deals is to book through John Carter on +33 (0)4 79 08 91 77.

Eurostar / TGV / SNCF - For hassle free travel take the Eurostar or SNCF Ski Train to the French Alps. The trains travel overnight, departing on a Friday evening and arriving at Moutiers early on Saturday morning - just a 20 minute transfer from St Martin. The return train leaves the following Saturday evening, leaving you to enjoy the extra benefit of a full 8 days on the slopes.

Air Travel

Easyjet flys to Geneva from several UK airports including, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Liverpool and East Midlands. Transfer time is just over 2 hours by car. Easyjet also fly’s to Grenoble from Stansted with a transfer time of 2 hours to St Martin.

Flybe flys to Chambery from Southampton and Birmingham. This is the closest airport to St Martin with a 1 hour transfer by car.

bmibaby offer flights to Geneva from East Midlands, Teesside, Cardiff & Manchester.

Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Lyon St. Etienne. Transfer time 2.45mins by Car.

Scheduled flights from mainstream operators such as BA, Swiss Air and Air France can all be booked at their own web sites.
