La Varenne is a recently 18th century, renovated, rambling farmhouse set in an attractive 10 acre site in lovely, peaceful country amongst sunflower fields, and yet only 10 minutes drive from the medieval town of Loches.

An outstanding feature of this property is the glazed, heated pool which overlooks the open countryside. Visitors are assured of this luxury at any time of year making Spring or Autumn breaks equally pleasant.

Five self-contained sections of the farmhouse are to let: the Laurier, Althéa, Jasmin and Glycine each have an attractive kitchen area with dishwasher, a comfortable living area, two or three bedrooms, and one or two shower rooms.

The Lilas is smaller, perfect for a couple but will sleep four.

The property is open and spacious. Visitors enjoy both privacy and comfort.

There are swings, table-tennis, badminton and pétanque on site with many attractive places of historical interest nearby and numerous leisure facilities. Children are easily occupied. Baby sitting is available.

Ground floor:

• Kitchen area: gas hob, small oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, ample crockery, cutlery etc (for 7 people ), table, chairs, cupboards, etc. Tiled floor. Exposed beams.
• Bedroom One: double bed, wardrobe. Exposed beams.
• Bedroom Two: bunk beds, cupboard. Exposed beams.
• Bathroom: shower, hand basin. Washing machine.
• Separate WC.

First floor:

• Very attractive and spacious living room: open fireplace (not working) and exposed beams. Sofa. Satellite television. Tiled floor.
• Bedroom Three: double bed (1,60 m), wardrobe. Tiled floor.
• Bathroom: bath with shower, hand basin, toilet.

About the location

In Ciran, two KM away you will find a small restaurant( good value for money) Open every day except Sundays.

You will find plenty more restaurants in Loches (10KM) or Ligueil (7KM).

Remember the baker comes round every morning at a 8h 45 except in August.

How to get here

Driving  from Loches, turn right after 10KM at the road signposted MOUZAY with a big cross in the field (at the crosroads) and look for a small signpost: LES FOURNEAUX. Don't turn at any other mouzay signposts otherwise YOU WOULD GET LOST.

Drive another 500yards and you will see a huge farmhouse on your right: you have reached your destination, at last!  Remember turn right at Mouzay+big cross+Les Fourneaux
