Le Quesnay Chambres D’hôtes is a beautiful house set in its own grounds. It is located in Contrières just 10min from the beautiful town of Coutances.

As you come up the tree-lined drive just now you are in for a treat!

The farmhouse has been refurbished to a very high standard as it was all done for the purpose of been a luxury bed and breakfast.

The owners

The owners run their house as a family home not just a business and all their guests will be treated as such so expect a warm welcome and any assistance you require the owners are only too please to help.

Meals

Please note that the owners do 3 course evening meals when required.-

Just let the owners know at breakfast if you require a meal that evening and leave the rest to them.  The menu varies from day to day as the hosts like to use fresh produce. Any dietary requirements just let them know when you place your order.

Accommodation detail

All our rooms are en-suite. This room is especially beautiful as it has a king size four poster bed dressed in silk with all bedding in crisp white cotton (bedding is changed every 3 days for your comfort).

The room has excellent views of the surrounding countryside, or you can just sit back and enjoy tea and coffee in your room the choice is yours

There are blackout curtains on the windows, a hair dryer and alarm clock too.

Your en-suite is just as beautiful with corner shower unit, wash basin and toilet, all your towels are placed on the towel rail so they are warm just when you need them. 

Outside:

• In warmer weather there is our newly built 10m by 5m heated swimming pool for your use. There are also sun loungers with covers and parasols and a shower and WC by terrace area.
  This area is fenced of for your peace of mind as all children need to be accompanied at all times. 
• The terrace area is under cover and has a large table and seating area for evenings when you don’t want to go out, but still want a beautiful area to relax in and try those great local wines. There is also a BBQ for guests to use if you feel the need to cook!!
• There is also a play area and a games room all in view of the pool. The games room is in one of the barns so is out of the sun at all times and the play area is out of the sun at most times of the day so children can play without fear of too much sun and in view of parents all the time. 

We have a few animals at Le Quesnay (so far) 2 shitz-u, 3 cats, 8 chickens and a very happy cockerel and some goats by summertime.  So please be careful when driving in the grounds.

About the location

Situated in a rural area, the nearest villages are 2 kms away.

In most of the local larger towns different Markets are available every day.

We have several local restaurants either in Coutance, 10 kms,  or  localy 8 Kms. Not forgetting if you do not want to drink and drive we do a three course meal at the house for 19 euros with local wines available.
