Jenny and Roger welcome you to stay at their charming, tranquil and centrally located home.  Staying at Les Renards will provide you with the ideal location, coupled with the personal hospitality that creates a wonderful and memorable stay.

Salies de Bearn is a small spa town noted for its salt mineral waters, Thermal Spa Baths, and beautiful architecture. You can walk down of an evening to one of the restaurants in the village, or alternatively try one of the excellent restaurants, or Auberges that are situated nearby. If you would like to be driven, the owners would be happy to provide that service.

The Bearn - Pays Basque region has beautiful countryside, is rich in history with cities such as Pau, Biarritz, Bayonne, St Jean de Luz close by.  The Pyrenees offer the ideal place for walking, cycling and skiing, the beaches for surfing and relaxing plus Spain and San Sebastian only an hours drive away.

Salies de Bearn is located between Biarritz and Pau, just off the A64 (junction 7) and very easy to find. Here you will discover the pleasures of living in rural France, so make us a stopping off point onto another destination, short break, or part of your holiday. In fact Les Renards bed & breakfast is the perfect location to make your stay in South West France a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Jenny and Roger offer:

• 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedded, all are individually designed and have en suite shower rooms.  All the bedrooms have a garden view.
• Full continental breakfasts are served either on the terrace or in the dining room. Croissants and baguettes are bought daily from the local boulangerie, cereals, yogurts, jams, fruit juices, plus a selection of cold meats and cheeses are all part of the breakfast.
• Packed lunches are available upon request.
• There are lounging chairs for you to relax in the garden after a day out.

About the location

Les Renards is situated in Salies de Béarn which is a small spa town noted for its salt mineral waters, Thermal Spa Baths, and beautiful architecture. It also has as golf course, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, horse riding, cycling and large rivers nearby for salmon and coarse fishing. It is 45 minutes from the historic city of Pau with the Atlantic beaches of Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, Cap Breton and Hossagor also 45mins away. 

Salies has 5 restaurants with many good restaurants in the villages nearby.  Taste the regions excellent cuisine of Fois Gras, Confit de Canard and freshly caught fish and shell fish.  Local markets are an integral part of the way of life and Salies has its' market Thursday morning.  So are the fetes which run from Spring to Autumn often lasting upto 3 days. The largest fetes in Salies are The Piperade in August and the Fete du Sel in September. 

If you enjoy walking or cycling the Pays Basque region and the Pyrenean mountains have plenty to offer, or if you enjoy bird watching then the Valley d'Ossau is a must. Salies de Bearn and the Bearn - Pays Basque have much to offer and a must to visit

Les Renards is in a village called Salies de Bearn just off the A64, junction 7 and is 45 minutes from both Pau and Biarritz airports, having good road and rail links.
