A jewel in St Jacut de la Mer, this quaint cosy former fisherman’s cottage is only a stone’s throw from the nearest beach, one of 11 to choose from in this charming unspoilt headland on the Cote D’Armor, with all local amenities on the doorstep.

Nearest Amenities: All immediate needs are a few minutes walk in the village centre; supermarket with butchery, boulangerie, creperie, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, P.O., Tourist Information Office.

Ground Floor:

• Open plan lounge/diner with beamed ceiling, large C16th granite fireplace, wood grain flooring, large leather settee, comfy armchairs, dining table and seating for 6. T.V. with English/French channels, radio.
• Small fitted kitchen area fully equipped, with bar divider, cooker with hood, fridge, microwave and two sinks.

Pine staircase (with understairs coat storage) leads to 2 attractive south facing bedrooms.

First Floor:

• Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with king size bed, pine dressing table and chest of drawers, wardrobe rail.
• Bedroom 2: Twin room with 2 pine single beds, 2 pine chest of drawers.
• Bathroom: Bath with shower unit, washhand basin, W.C. (This room is equipped with a washing machine)

A narrow staircase off the landing leads to:

• Bedroom 3: Light and spacious attic room with double futon sofa/bed, a chair bed and hanging clothes rail. Ideal teenage /play /sitting room.

Outside:

• Small pretty secluded south facing gravelled terrace situated in front of the cottage, equipped with garden table and chairs, BBQ. (There is a useful secure storage shed outside for bikes/surf boards etc.)

About the location

• The elegant Edwardian seaside resort of Dinard is a 10 minute drive away with a choice of sandy beaches and water sports. Try your luck at the Casino or browse among the exclusive shops.
• Beautiful medieval Dinan, perched above the river Rance is 15 minutes drive away, where you will find a host of timber-framed houses, a chateau and ancient ramparts to wander around.
• The port of St Malo can be reached in 25 minutes by car,  here you can stroll along the cobbled streets and take your pick of inviting restaurants to sample the superb freshly caught ‘catch of the day.’
• Stop off and visit the new Aquarium on your way back home.

This part of northern Brittany is an ideal base at any time of year. There are numerous attractions for all ages, beautiful historic places such as the stunning Mont St Michel to visit, and for those who prefer just lazing on the beach, the choice is endless.

How to get here

The ferry port of St Malo is a 25 minute drive and the International Airport at Dinard is only 10 minutes drive away.

• By ferry: Brittany Ferries operates cross channel from Portsmouth to St Malo and Condor Ferries have daily passenger and car services from Weymouth and Poole (May- September) to St Malo. Caen is approx. 3 hours drive away.
• By air: Ryanair operates from Luton, Stansted, Bristol and East Midlands to Dinard. Flybe operate flights from Birmingham airport to Brest, which is approx. 2 hours drive from St Jacut. Flybe also operates from Southampton, Manchester and Exeter to Rennes(68.5km).
