For those who want a more active vacation than simply relaxing in the garden or floating in the pool, the area is ideal for walking, sketching, photography, or other creative pursuits.  A studio can be made available to interested groups.  You can  tour the countryside to visit one of the many chateaux, Romanesque churches, local craftsmen and artists, vineyards, or working farms selling regional produce. Sportsminded guests may want to climb the Roche du Solutré for a glimpse of Mont Blanc or take a leisurely cycle trip along the"Voie Verte", a more than 90 km. long cycle path both to the north to Givry and south to Charnay, starting from Cluny. Bikes can be rented in Cluny.  Horses can also be rented nearby or you can bring your own and stable them in the village of Chateau.

Guests can also do Yoga, Reiki, Rhythmic Dance or have an Ayurvedic massage in the village of Chateau itself.

A cooking lesson can be arranged at a Michelin "Bib" restaurant for groups.
