Six Gites set in Grounds of 3 Acres with Swimming Pool

Nieudegat Gites comprises six one bed duplex apartment gites. Set in grounds of over 3 acres of peaceful countryside with swimming pool. Ideal for individuals or couples (each gite can sleep upto 4 people). Babies under 1 yr welcome - cots with linen available at £20 per week.  Not suitable for toddlers and children under 8 years of age.

Option of having breakfast provided in addition to full self catering facilities within your own gite.

Nieudegat (Bird's Nest) Gites' at Simeyrols, near to Carlux is a quiet haven where you can enjoy the tranquility of the peaceful grounds located between the busy town of  Souillac (15 mins drive) and the delights of medieval Sarlat (15 mins drive) and is the perfect location for exploring this diverse area by car, by bike, by canoe, on horseback or on foot. Ample parking and safe, lockable basement for bikes, motorbikes, canoes etc.

Set in the heart of Aquitaine, France's third largest region, which is the very cradle of prehistory known as the Perigord and the Valley of the Dordogne. Riverside tourism, historical and gastronomic discovery mean you can discover the many facets of this unique region at just the right pace. Its own pronounced character can be found in the countryside, inhabitants, traditions, architecture and gastronomy.

Holiday Accommodation at Gites

All gites have French windows opening from the living room onto a paved patio area overlooking the surrounding countryside where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and solitude.

Each is fully equipped for your use and has:

Ground floor

• Mini-kitchen - with double electric hob, sink, fridge, microwave/grill oven and cupboards. A constant supply of hot water is available.
• Living room - with a double bed settee so that 3 to 4 people can be accommodated if required.
• Spacious shower-room - (one has a full-size bath) with handbasin in vanitory unit and a built-in wardrobe
• Separate wc

First floor

Open tread stairs from the living room lead to:

• Bedroom - (all fully carpeted) with velux window. A choice of twin, double or superking size beds is available.

Outside

Patio furniture and barbecues are provided. There is a boules area and you are welcome to explore the wooded grounds and identify a variety of birds, flowers and fauna.

The swimming pool is equipped with a hydrotherapy/massage facility enabling you to swim against the flow without needing to swim end to end and turn.

About Simeyrols in Dordogne, Aquitaine

'Nieudegat Gites' are situated in the peaceful bourg of Simeyrols, 3 km from the pretty village of Carlux where you can obtain essential supplies of freshly baked bread (pain) from the bakers (boulangerie), cakes (gateaux) from the confectioners (patisserie), groceries (epicerie) from the general store (magasin), meat (viande) from the butchers (boucherie), cafe/bar and take in some local sight-seeing around the village. There is an ancient washing pond, church and part of the old castle wall.

The Dordogne River is just 6 km south at St Julien de Lampon for canoeing and sunbathing and restaurants.

The nearest main town of Sarlat (Sarlat-la-Caneda) is 13 km to the west, with its bustling enormous Saturday Market, shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, church and cinema and late night disco, set in narrow medieval streets with restored Gothic and Renaissance town houses. Souillac is also approx. 15 minutes drive away.
