The accommodation comprises:

Ground floor:

• Entrance hall and lobby large enough to cope with coats, boots, shoes and all the bits and bobs that come with a holiday.
• Large living and dining room area with satellite TV, CD Player, and radio. The interior is elegantly furnished with leather and oak seating and includes a large dining table suitable for at least 8 people. A large fireplace, with logs provided for winter heating.
• Kitchen with excellent cooking, serving and dining requirements including gas cooker and hob,  microwave and a large fridge-freezer with ice making facilities for those hot and sultry summer days and warm nights. Winter warmth is provided by an oil central heating system. A vegetable garden nearby will provide an abundance of free vegetables in season.
• Utility room in the converted cellars with laundry facilities.

First floor:

• Expansive landing leading to:
• Bedroom 1 – large master bedroom with double bed + 1 single bed if required. An additional folding bed/cot can be provided as required.
• Bedroom 2 - 1 double bedroom
• Bedroom 3 - 2 single and bunk beds (to sleep 4)
• Shower room/WC - double wash basins and free standing shower cabin.

Outside

• Sun terrace - facing a westerly direction overlooking the beautiful Limousin countryside.
• Grounds - A large private garden consists of a stone terrace and lawned areas which are ideal for sunbathing or for those languorous extended luncheons. Part of the gardens is shaded by trees offering shelter from the summer heat. A large wooden picnic table and benches is provided. The flower beds and borders are well maintained. The fields facing the west of the property belong to the house and contain a children's play area.
• Pool - the south west facing sun kissed terrace pool is surrounded by high ancient stone walls and is completely private.  Its perfect for those sultry high summer days and warm evenings.   Loungers and poolside furniture are available.  A changing room, shower and toilet facilities are in a converted outbuilding facing the pool. Barbeque area with a stone barbeque for wood/charcoal burning is located in the grounds and a gas barbeque is also available for emergencies or for additional cooking.
• Parking – is convenient and the property has extensive parking areas.
• Sports - 4 adult bikes and 2 children's bikes are available.  An archery range for both longbow and crossbow are set up in the field, as well as an airgun range if required.  There are plans to establish a games room (table tennis and darts) in the barn which may be finalised for 2008.  A recreation area for young children has a variety of swings including tree swings.

A new boiler provides oil central heating and a large oak log open fire is available in the main living room for cooler winterly periods.

About the location

Les Tourettes is approximately 7 kms from Chateauponsac and consists of about 12 houses. It’s a very quiet and tranquil area with rearing Limousin cattle being the main economy.

Chateauponsac is a town of about 2000 inhabitants with all the necessary shops required for daily life, including an Eco-Marche (supermarket). It has a number of bars and cafes, and a regional museum located in the Chateau. The town dates back to the Gallo-Roman period and many local antiquities can be visited. A market is held every Friday and sells old-fashioned farmers' produce and other local products necessary for everyday life. A variety of specialist local foods can be purchased and the regional cuisine is based on meat and dairy dishes unique to the area. Although not a wine producing area, it is within a short distance of 3 superior wine areas - Bordeaux, Loire and the South West, and a vast choice of wines is available.

How to get here

By Air

• From John Lennon Airport, Liverpool and from London Stansted - Ryanair budget flights to Limoges. Estimated journey time is 2 hrs from Liverpool and 1½ hours from London but they routinely arrive before schedule. Car hire from the airport is approximately £160 per week. A straightforward journey of 40 kms (35 minutes) to Les Tourettes from Belgarde Airport Limoges.
• From Southampton Airport - Flybe budget flights to Limoges. Estimated journey time is 1½ hours although flights arrive routinely before schedule. Car hire from the airport from approximately £160 per week. A straightforward journey of 40 kms (35 minutes) to Les Tourettes from Belgarde Airport Limoges.

By Road

• From Calais, Amiens, Paris and take Peripherique - east or west around Paris. Exit at Porte d’Orleans - To Orleans follow A10, A71 and A20 towards Limoges/Toulouse. Take exit 23.1 towards Chateauponsac. Good roads, peage cost 35 Euros in 2010. Calais – Paris is 3hrs, Paris – Les Tourettes is 4 hours (peage is empty, with cruising speeds of 80-90 mph).

By Rail

• From London/Waterloo - Eurostar/TGV highspeed train to Paris. Change for Limoges. Car hire from £160 per week.

Additional price information

• Prices are inclusive for 6 persons. For each additional person over 6 a supplement of 15 Euros per person per week will be applied to cover additional utilities charges and general wear and tear.
• A daily concierge/caretaker service is available during summer lets. All maintenance needs will be dealt with.
• Daily delivery of basic provisions (bread, milk etc) may be arranged if required at no extra charge (during peak season).
• Price quoted is for property per week and based on £ sterling and are inclusive of electricity.  The exchange rate against £ at time of booking will apply.
