Two Delightful Village Properties with Pool in Beautiful Carennac

".. we were delighted with the house and how you had presented it. We spent three weeks in France and had a lovely holiday but the week in Carennac was just wonderful. We would certainly like to return in the near future." (CB - Summer 2012)

"Just a quick email to say we had a fantastic holiday in a gorgeous part of France and to thank you for letting us share your beautiful home. We all fell in love with Carennac and will return, I'm certain. " (GJ - Summer 2011)

".... we had an absolutely fabulous time and the cottage was superb. We couldn't believe our luck staying in such a lovely gite with wonderful amenities and so close to the village. We are already missing the peace, tranquillity and fun we had in Carennac." (LM - Summer 2011)

"... the cottage and house in Carennac are both lovely and it was an idyllic break. (CJ - Summer 2009)

Whether you are seeking accommodation for up to 9 people, or a smaller unit sleeping only 4 or 5 , La Cour is a rare find; 2 adjacent properties of charm with delightful pool and gardens, situated in a beautiful village with its own epicerie, Summer farmers' market and restaurants.  On the corner of a quiet, leafy no-through lane (the ancient pilgrim route to Santiago de la Compostela), this typically French "maison de bourg" & cottage were built sixty years ago by a former Mayor of Carennac. He chose his site wisely -on a sunny, open slope, yet just 100 metres from the village - to overlook his beautiful bailiwick.

11th century Carennac is officially designated "Un des Plus Beaux Villages de France" where ancient houses snuggle around a fabled Clunisien abbey on the banks of the Dordogne river. In summer, the narrow streets are festooned with colourful window-boxes, and every turn reveals thrilling glimpses of courtyards, terraces, balconies and rose-gardens. It never fails to captivate even the most worldly of travellers.

Both properties have been renovated to a high standard and furnished with style whilst preserving their intrinsic French country charm.  With delightful views over meadows and roof-tops, the properties can be rented together or individually, and offer the perfect location for a village-based holiday in a truly beautiful area of rural France.

The vast range of holiday activities on the doorstep include: walking, river-swimming and canoeing (in the village); cycling (cycle-hire for adults & children available in nearby Vayrac); two pretty water-parks (5 minutes by car); fairy-tale castles & hilltop villages to explore, plus tennis and a glorious 9-hole golf course, most within a 15 minute drive.
