Come and explore the region of Béarn in the Pyrénées Atlantiques and enjoy spectacular scenery, great food and a myriad of activities which will make your stay in the area truly unforgettable. Dating back to 1850 this spacious and well maintained farmhouse benefits from spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and is a fabulous place to relax.

Located in the small commune of Bedeille, which is approximately 25 minutes north east of Pau and its airport.

Bedeille itself also has the benefit of a bread van 3 times per week where you can purchase freshly made croissants for breakfast! The farmer across the road can also supply fresh free range eggs as well as very tasty oven ready chickens and there are a number of local villages within easy reach supplying most commerce.

In the one and a half acres of garden, there is plenty of space to unwind and soak up the sun on a number of sun loungers including parasols and private use of 11 x 5 metre swimming pool. There is also a barbeque and patio furniture for outdoor entertaining! Garaging is available also. From the garden there are fine views of rolling hills to the North and of the Pyrenees Mountains to the South and West.

About the location

The Béarn is a wonderful unspoilt area with beautiful countryside, rich in history, with well preserved chateaux, fantastic food and wine with the Pyrenees and Spain on one side and the Atlantic beaches on the other. For culture, sophistication and glamour visit the capital Pau or the coastal towns of Biarritz, Bayonne & St John de Luz with the coastline running from the Spanish border north to Bordeaux and is host to annual international surfing competitions. Many restaurants and cafés line these white sandy beaches creating a perfect backdrop to a fine evening's dining.

Located accross the road from the church which, like most of the villages in the locality, chimes the hour. Can be a bit disconcerting to begin with but the noise of the bells soon fades in to the background and becomes quite a useful tool when lying on the sunbed and you need to start getting ready for that evening out!
