Two Delightful and Peaceful Houses with Pools Set In 30 Acres of Land
Two delightful and peaceful houses set in 30 acres of land, and surrounded by oak forest. Situated 7km from the hilltop village of Murs, and about 15km from Gordes, these two houses can be rented together or separately. The land is mainly grass field, studded with cherry trees. Both houses enjoy exclusive use of their own swimming pools and informal gardens. There is also a new tennis court the use of which is shared by the two houses. A cottage sleeping four is also available.
Total capacity of the three properties is twenty people.
The property is looked after by an English caretaker couple, who live in a separate cottage in the grounds. He will service the pools, and carry out any repairs required. He is also able to offer guided cycle rides or walks in the area, which is famous for both. He keeps a few chickens, so fresh eggs are available. Also plentiful cherries in season.
His partner can provide housekeeping or baby-sitting service by arrangement.

About Murs in Vaucluse, Provence - Cote d'Azur
Murs village (7km) is a typical small and beautiful stone-built hilltop Provencal village, with a garage and a grocery, and a good restaurant. Apt (16km) and Carpentras (25km) have extensive shopping facilities with good supermarkets and regular weekly markets. There are regular markets which revolve around the surrounding towns and villages.
Isle sur Sorgue (half an hour drive) has about six hundred antique dealers, open every weekend, and a Golf Club. Avignon and Aix en Provence are about one hour away, as are the Cotes du Rhone vineyards, where some excellent wines may be tasted. Saint Remy, one hour, and Vaison la Romaine one and a quarter hours have excellent Roman remains. The weather in this area has the most hours of sunshine in France, and the valley is very fertile (the Romans used it as their kitchen garden) so fresh produce is constantly available.
