Lovely old Farmhouse rated Excellent by TripAdvisor, Secure Pool, Gym & Reflexology
Pont Jalbert, rated EXCELLENT by Trip Advisor, is a lovely old French farmhouse with original beams and exposed stone walling, furnished as a luxury self-catering gite. Very cosy sitting room with huge sofas, wood burning stove, central heating, full UK Sky+ package, large fully and generously equipped kitchen/diner, 4 double + bedrooms, 3 bathrooms.
Stunning, fully secure, child friendly pool, fully and discretely fenced with lockable gates and very large sunbathing terrace overlooking lovely private garden surrounded by rolling countryside.
- Elegant white bed linen, bathroon towels and pool towels provided free of charge.

Excellent walking, cycling in the home of the Tour de France (two bikes can be borrowed) and several golf courses including the championship course at Albi.
Welcome Pack all year - for low season bookings we also provide a case of excellent locally produced wine per week.
For babies, to help with luggage, we have a pushchair, fold-away safety cot for the pool area, baby bath, changing mat, microwave steriliser, first stage car seat and a few other small items.
Holiday Accommodation at Pont Jalbert
Large, airy and very comfortable. The sitting room has soft seating for 10/12 and the bedrooms are all very large doubles which can easily accommodate cots/children's beds if required.
All three acres of garden are landscaped, beautifully maintained and surrounded by rolling hills and trees - it is peaceful and private with lots of space for children to run around and play.

- Sitting Room - soft comfortable seating for at least ten people, UK Sky + TV, DVD player and selection of DVDs, video recorder, CD/Radio (able to pick up UK radio stations), board games and jigsaws. There is a fully functioning wood burning stove.

- Veranda - the large enclosed verandah is raised and can be secured for small children. Wonderful views over the countryside and garden. Teak table and chairs, cushions, large umbrella and barbecue
- Swimming Pool – fully secure, landscaped, discretely fenced and gated 10 x 5m swimming pool with 160m2 sunbathing terrace and hot water solar shower. Tables, chairs, sunbeds with cushions, umbrellas and barbecue.
- 3 acre landscaped garden with benches, picnic table, and baby swing. Lots of space for children to play and adults to relax in peace. Across the road we have land on the Serene riverside. Good for shallow paddling.
About La Fouillade in Aveyron, Midi Pyrenees
Sightseeing and Places to Eat
La Fouillade, 6km from Najac, is our local village and has everything you need including a supermarket, local store, 2 tabac, coffee and paper shop, butcher, excellent bakery, a pharmacy, a laundry, two hairdressers, a beautician, a clothing store and a library open on Wednesday and Saturday. The proprietors are delightful and will make you feel very welcome.
There are three doctors and a dentist in the village. There is a restaurant next to a lake with a childrens' play area, so if you fancy a walk after lunch it's all there for you.
The bastide towns of Najac, Cordes-sur-ciel and Villefranche de Rouergue are between ten and thirty minutes drive away and each has its chateau, church, spectacular views and restaurants. Cahors and Albi are 50mins away.
Wines
There are some very fine vineyards in the local area, noteably Gaillac and Cahors, both within easy striking distance. A visit would be an excellent day's outing.

Najac, Cordes sur Ciel, Villefranche de Rouergue (large market on Thursday morning), St Antonin de Noble Val (market on Sunday), morning, Albi, Cahors.

The property was delightfully appointed, spacious and clean. The owner (Nina) was there to meet us on arrival and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Bread, cheese and wine were provided on arrival (very important after an 18 hour journey from the UK). Nothing was too difficult for Nina, and she was always on hand to provide advice and local knowledge on where to visit and eat out. The swimming pool was immaculate, and the grounds were very attractive and well-maintained. In sum, thanks to the standard of the property and Nina's enthusiasm, this rates as one of the best holidays we have ever had.

We had a lovely family reunion at Pont Jalbert. The house was perfect; beautiful, full of character, well equipped and with a huge garden. The children had never met before but were soon exploring the huge garden together and conversing in their own version of Franglais. All the younger adults used the gym and joined the kids in the pool for water fights. The owners of Pont Jalbert are friendly and have thought of everything for a perfect holiday. June and Les Cleal

- The changeover day is Saturday and guests are welcome to arrive after 4pm and are requested to depart before 10am.
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, the balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to your arrival.
- A refundable deposit of £200 is required to cover any serious damage.
- All fuel, lighting and electricity is included in the price.
- For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not allowed inside the house.
- There is car parking for several cars within the grounds.
