Luxury Farmhouse & 2 Charming Self Catering Gites with Pool.
‘Gites Le Quesnoy En Artois’ are a Luxury Farmhouse & two well equipped and self contained two bedroom gites, with gardens overlooking rolling countryside. Located in a pretty hamlet only a few minutes drive from the beautiful and bustling market town of Hesdin. There are lovely sandy beaches (Le Touquet & Berck), together with theme parks, golf courses and historical sites within easy reach.
Le Quesnoy Gîtes consists of a Luxury Farmhouse and two holiday properties - 'Bagatelle' & 'Dennlys'. All are ideal for families and accommodate 6-8 in the Farmhouse and 4-5 people each gite. The Farmhouse has been refurbished to a high standard, creating a traditional cosy living area. The house has a Garden room over looking the private back garden, a large Farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room with a range cooker, American fridge freezer and an open fire. A large sitting and dining room with a wood burning fire and a wide-screen TV. There is also a downstairs modern bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and over head shower. On the upper floor there are three large bedrooms all with storage and the master room having an en-suite. The Gites were created from a large barn, the two self-contained gîtes are modern, light and airy. Each has an open-plan lounge area, a kitchen area toilet and a shower room on the ground floor. The bedrooms are on the upper floor. During the cooler months (October to April), all the gîtes are fully heated to keep them warm and cosy for guests.

- Open plan lounge and dining area with television/ DVD player and CD radio, with French doors opening onto large veranda where there is an additional table and seating.
- The kitchen with a 4 ring gas hob and oven, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle.
- Shower room Hydro shower with hand basin and separate toilet.
First floor
- One double room with storage leading to
- Twin room with further storage and space for an additional bed/cot.
Outside:
- Each gîte has its own private outdoor dining area equipped with a garden table and chairs. Guests also have shared use of a covered veranda, a barbecue, an above-ground swimming pool and a children's play area. There is ample parking space for guests' cars next to the gîtes.

About Hesdin in Pas-de-Calais, Nord Pas de Calais
The Seven Valleys area around Le Quesnoy Gîtes is little known by tourists - the villages have retained their traditional rural characters, and the countryside is relaxing, calm and peaceful. The excellent roads and railways make this a very easy area for visitors to explore.
The local village, Le-Quesnoy-en-Artois, is surrounded by rolling hills and open fields - perfect golfing country. In fact, many of the country's internationally-renowned golf courses are located nearby, including "Les Golfs de Nampont-St-Martin", "Golf du Touquet" and "AA Saint-Omer Golf Club". Each course is different and many have stunning views for you to admire as you play.
The market town of Hesdin is just five minutes from Le Quesnoy Gîtes. It is a pretty town with ancient houses, narrow cobbled streets and historic monuments. Built on the banks of the River Canche, many of the buildings date back to the 16th century when the town was originally founded. Hesdin has several supermarkets and a range of shops, boutiques, restaurants and pavement cafés. Its weekly market (every Thursday morning) is a delight.
The town of Montreuil (20 minutes) is famous for its connection with Victor Hugo and a version of "Les Miserables" is performed every summer at the foot of the town's citadel. During the First World War, Montreuil became the headquarters of Field Marshall Haig. The town has a colourful weekly market selling fresh regional produce - cheese, meat, bread, fruit and vegetables - as well as clothes, textiles and household goods.

How To Get To Hesdin in Pas-de-Calais, North East France
Take the A16 from Calais direction Boulogne continuing to junction 26 signposted Le Touquet. After road toll (Approx 2.60 euros) take the D939 direction Montreuil (2nd exit on roundabout), keep on this road following signs to Hesdin. At Hesdin take D928 direction Abbeville for approximately 1 mile. Le Quesnoy en Artois is signposted from this road,at the top of the hill take the first turning on the left, keep on this road for approximately 3/4 mile, at the crossroads turn right into the village, continue through the village and into Rue d'Erambeaucourt, our house is the very last on the right..

| Other | The Farmhouse has a large fenced private garden with a safety covered pond, a private patio and veranda. The 2 smaller Gites have large semi enclosed garden there is our fully fenced pool, with toys and volleyball. The pool is solar heated. We have a large wooden climbing frame and swings. There is also an array of children's garden toys. There is a Bar-B-Que situated next to the gites and plenty of outside garden furniture. During the summer months we also have horses in the fenced paddock areas. All year round there are chickens and guinea fowl in their own fenced section of the garden providing fresh eggs (which can be purchased). |
