Nestling in over one acre of mature enclosed garden with a lovely private 10 x 5m pool, La Chantepierre - which translates as 'Singing Stones' - is a beautifully presented and extremely well furnished and equipped French longere (a traditional 'long house').

Set in a peaceful location, yet just 1km (15 minute walk) from the nearest shop and bar, Chantepierre is within easy reach of the many vineyards and chateaux for which the region is famed. This fabulously spacious holiday home comfortably accommodates 8/10 people, and because of its layout, is equally as welcoming for smaller groups. During off-peak periods a discount for smaller groups may apply.

The accommodation comprises:

Ground Floor

• Entrance Hall with sofa(bed), coffee table, and wi-fi internet access. Off the entrance room is a
• Fabulous (new) shower/wet room and WC 
• Superb and well equipped (new) kitchen with range cooker, large larder-fridge, dishwasher, and kitchen table which comfortably seats six. The kitchen also has a wood burner, making Chantepierre as welcoming in the cooler winter months as it is in the summer. Doors open onto the garden. A full size larder-style door leads to the utility/cloak room, featuring washing machine, second fridge, freezer, and utility cupboards.
• Off the kitchen is the extremely spacious open plan dining and sitting room
• The dining area features a large table capable of seating up to ten people. There is also a 'quiet' reading area with two armchairs and a fireplace with wood burner.
• The beautifully presented lounge area has two lovely large sofas and matching armchairs with plenty of options to comfortably seat ten people. There is 36" Plasma satellite television with UK channels, DVD Player, and a CD Hi-fi system.  There is an excellent collection of CDs and DVD films which are available for your enjoyment as are a range of books and board games. Doors open onto the garden from both the dining and sitting room areas.
• From the sitting room, a door leads into a lovely ground floor guest suite featuring a King size bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet. • Staircase takes you up to a separate and private mezzanine floor which has a twin bedroom with two single beds and chest of drawers. It is possible to put the twin beds together with a super-king-size mattress to make a luxurious super-king-size bed.
• Back in the main house, and accessed from the entrance hall, is a children’s games room with a small snooker table, darts and air hockey table.
• There is also a full size table tennis table for both indoor and outdoor use.

First Floor

• Back in the 'main' part of the house, a staircase leading from the lounge area leads to the landing/mezzanine area which provides an ideal reading/play/rest area and which has a sofa, toys and a Playstation/DVD console for guests' enjoyment and Plasma screen.
• Off the landing is a lovely twin/double bedroom featuring a 4' double bed and a matching single bed. This is a very characterful beamed room with 3/4 door access and skylight windows.
• To the other side of the landing, a corridor from the mezzanine area takes you to a wonderful large bathroom with claw bath, French-style shower, bidet, wash basin and WC
• At the end of this corridor/landing is the original large master bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers

A lot of thought has gone into equipping Chantepierre, and as well as an i-pod speaker system, there is a large collection of CDs, DVDs, books, and games that are available for guests use.

There is also a small games room with children's snooker table, air hockey, and darts. There is indoor/outdoor table tennis, and outside there is a 13' trampoline, swings, slides, football net, basketball, and of course the fabulous 10 x 5m pool!

About the location

Chantepierre is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, straddling the regions of Maine et Loire and Indre Loire.  It is one of the regions most popular and sought after areas with chateaux and vineyards adorning the magnificent countryside. 

A peaceful setting, yet within 1km of a traditional French village with a shop and bar, Chantepierre has the bustling market town of Noyant just 7km away, with the historic city of Saumur on the banks of the River Loire a 40 km (30 minutes) drive.

How to get here

Chantepierre is just a 40 minute journey from Tours Airport, and a pleasant 5 hour drive from Calais.

• We aim to keep our availability calendar as up-to-date as possible, but because we may be able to offer alternative dates and other similar properties should Chantepierre be booked for the dates you are interested, we do sometimes keep the calendar showing availability. We encourage enquirers to contact us directly by email or phone in the first instance.  On receiving an enquiry between the hours of 8am - 9pm we aim to respond within one hour. Please note however, that this is a very popular property and dates get booked up very early.
• Due to its layout, Chantepierre is equally as suitable for smaller groups of 2-4 people and during the off peak months of May, September, and October a further 25% discount applies for smaller groups of 2-4 people or couples who would like the total peace and privacy that this beautiful house and garden offers.
• Interim clean and change of linen and departure cleans available at additional costs.
