Maison Guy is a charming, spacious, family home set on the hillside five minutes from the market village of La Garde Freinet and 15 km from the Bay of St Tropez. The villa is well appointed and has spectacular views. There is a large terrace for outside dining which overlooks the pool and private grounds and has fantastic views out west, across the region.

Accommodation detail

The interior has been recently refurbished and is very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine opening out onto a large galleried sitting/dining room which itself opens onto the terrace. 

The house lends itself to two families sharing since at each end of the sitting/dining room, separated by a private door, is a double bedroom leading out onto the terrace plus a twin bedroom with a shared bathroom between.

There is a further toilet/shower room just off from the hall.

Above the sitting/dining room is the large mezzanine area which offers further beds and an ideal place for children to relax out of the sun. It also houses the TV and DVD.

Travel cot and high chair are available.

About the location

La Garde Freinet is a medieval village in the centre of the Massif des Maures. Picturesque roads winding through forests of cork oaks and chestnut groves reach the village where restaurants and shops surround the main square. We enjoy nothing more than a walk into the village in the morning to collect the freshly baked bread and croissants and browse around the market on a Wednesday and Sunday.

How to get here

By ferry/car: There are always those adventurous souls who take an over night ferry to Le Havre and arrive in the South of France within a day. We would suggest however, that if you want to drive, a morning crossing to Calais taking the motorway via Reims and having a one-night stop (in Burgundy) makes for an easy journey.

By air: La Garde Freinet is approximately 1 ½ hour’s drive from both Marseille and Nice airports and 45minutes from Toulon airport. 

By train: The nearest rail links are St. Raphael and Les Arcs.

We would recommend that you have a car.
