Attractive Stone Cottage with a pool and FREE riding

Le Frene is a gorgeous old stone cottage with exposed oak beams throughout. It is part of an old Breton farm complex, close to the owner's own house around a wide gravelled forecourt.

It is in a tiny hamlet on a quiet country lane surrounded by beautiful farmland.

Behind the cottage are the ten acres of meadows and gardens belonging to the farm where your children will have plenty of space for all sorts of games.
 
The cottage sleeps up to 7 people (plus up to three cots) in 5 bedrooms (one large double, one smaller double, and three singles), and has a well fitted modern (english style) kitchen with proper full size cooker, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. Le Frene opens onto lawns at the front with outdoor seating and barbecue. 
 
There is a securely fenced in swimming pool. And of course, there are the animals. We have chickens (lots of yummy free range eggs if you can find where they have been laid) and the horses. There are three - Hercules who is black and white, Dancer who is bay and Eclipse, who is chestnut. We used to run a riding school in the UK, and love giving visitors little lessons on the ponies - lots of children go home determined to continue riding having tasted it over here! And if you can ride properly, then bring your hat and boots! There is an upper weight restriction on the horses as none of them are huge.

The Pool

The swimming pool (8.5 metres by 5 metres), which is open from late May to end of August, is set in an attractive white walled suntrap ornamented with climbing plants! There is a huge area of raised sundecking with sunloungers and it is safely fenced and gated and kept locked at nights. It is open from approximately 10.00am until 8.30pm every day in summer. Children do need to be supervised by parents whilst using the pool as we cannot take responsibility for that!

Holiday Accommodation at Le Frene, Radenac

The property comfortably accommodates 7 people in 5 bedrooms and comprises:

• Double bedroom with double bed, plenty of space for a cot
• Second smaller double bedroom
• Three other bedrooms all single.
• First floor shower rooms with toilet and handbasins. 

Downstairs there are two large rooms with attractive beams throughout:

• A tiled sitting room with a huge fireplace and lots of comfortable seating
• A spacious kitchen/diner - a new modern kitchen with modern appliances and a dining area with a big dining table, as well as space for the children to play indoors whilst the parents relax with a drink in the sitting room.

About Buleon in Morbihan, Brittany

The cottage is situated in a tiny and very peaceful rural hamlet, near to the towns of Josselin, Pontivy and Vannes.  We are surrounded by golden cornfields where there is abundant birdlife.  In the nearby village of Reguiny there is a supermarket, public indoor  and outdoor swimming pool, two boulangeries, Post Office, doctor, dentist, restaurants, large public park and museum.

Josselin, Pontivy, Ploermel, Locminé, Auray and Vannes have wonderful weekly markets.

There is a huge selection of accessible coast, with beaches at Carnac, on the Quiberon peninsular, at Larmor Plage and at Suscinio, as well as the beautiful inland lakes at Lac au Duc (Ploermel), and Lac de Guerledan (north of Pontivy) and the Nantes Brest Canal.

You can hire boats on the canal and the inland lakes, and if you want to fish, we can arrange you a fortnight or daily license in advance if you like.  There is also local bike hire, canoe hire and pedalo hire in various different locations.

How To Get To Buleon in Morbihan, North West France

We are between the "cité de caractère" of Josselin and Locminé, and are very easy to find.  Rennes airport is only about 50 miles away and the drive down from the ferry port of St Malo takes less than two hours.
