The picturesque hamlet of Le Helleguy can be found in the department of Morbihan, southern Brittany, close to the river Blavet. Situated in a stunningly beautiful rural location, in the heart of the Blavet valley, the hamlet is surrounded by 3 acres of landscaped gardens & lawned play areas, rolling countryside, fields and woodland.

The hamlet consists of three beautiful detached thatched Breton cottages. The owners who live onsite (and are available to assist guests during their stay and offer complementary therapies and beauty treatments), occupy one of the cottages, with the two remaining, La Chaumiere and La Grange offered as LUXURY, self catering rental accommodation.

The cottages can be rented individually or together (under the name name Le Helleguy), the latter being ideal for family and friend group gatherings. Open all year, Le Helleguy is a super retreat for relaxing summer holidays, Christmas family gatherings and out of season winter breaks. WIFI Internet Access in each cottage enables work commitments to be maintained during your stay. ‘Indulgence Breaks’ offering a package of Complementary Therapies and Beauty Treatments, tailored to suite the individual can be enjoyed at low cost.

Le Helleguy’s ideal location offers easy access to many nearby medieval and historic towns (e.g. Josselin, Auray) and tourist attractions (e.g. Poul Fetan, Camors Adventure Forest). Beautiful sandy beaches are less than 30 minutes drive away (Lamor Plage at Lorient), where a host of beach and sporting activities can be found.

This cottage benefits from a ground floor master bedroom with en-suite shower room and separate WC. An ideal choice for people who find managing stairs difficult.

All bedrooms and living areas are spacious and tastefully furnished. The original Breton character and charm of this cottage has been retained with exposed oak beams, feature stone surround windows and a magnificent granite fireplace.

A host of accessories and appliances compliment the high quality accommodation that this cottage offers including WiFi Internet access. In addition, to enhance your holiday, qualified on site practitioners are able to offer holistic massage, reflexology and beauty treatments.

About the location

The friendly villages of Quistinic & Bubry are just 3kms & 6kms away, where local supplies can be purchased from the bakeries general stores, supermarket, butchers etc. A selection of restaurants & bar tabacs can also be found in these villages.

Closer to home, our local bar/creperie is a leisurely 2km stroll from the hamlet, where a delicious variety of crepes can be tasted and the friendly Breton hospitality sampled.

The larger town of Baud is 12km SE of the hamlet and offers a much wider variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars etc. The medieval town of Pontivy is 25 mins drive NE and Lorient, with its beautiful sandy beaches at Lamor Plage (Plage de Port Maria & Plage de Toulhars) only 30 mins drive SW.

• Changeover day is Saturday but negotiable in Low Season
• Check-in time is 16:00 and check-out time is 10:00
• A Refundable Security Deposit of £200 is required
• Winter Fuel Charge @ £60 per week is applicable from October to end of April
• Ferry Crossing discounts available : Brittany Ferries (20%), P&O (5%) and Condor Ferries (10%)
• Complimentary 'Welcome Pack' prepared for your arrival containing a generous selection of Breton food provisions and cleaning essentials to minimise the materials you need to bring with you. This includes: French Bread, Croissants, Butter, Milk, Eggs, Ham, Cheese, Bacon, Biscuits, Chocolates, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil, Bottle of Wine & Water, T-towels, Dishcloth, Washing up liquid, Bleach, Disinfectant and Toilet rolls
• Unlimited WiFi Internet Access is available in the cottages
• An Information Folder has also been prepared for you, containing useful information on local attractions, beaches, places of interest, historical & military sites, etc. Also included is essential information on use of facilities within the cottages, emergency contact numbers etc. A section is included detailing our extensive library of DVDs and Videos (over 500 titles) which are available for your enjoyment, during your holiday
