Charming 15th century barn converted to provide beautiful holiday gites all with original features and beams creating comfort and style. Situated in a peaceful valley on the edge of Concores a pretty stone village with local shop, boulangerie, bar, post office, tennis courts and Boules pitch all within walking distance. The Cottages are adjacent to a small chateau and river.

Le Muguet is a large barn converted to provide four gites the owners reside in one of these. Each gite sleeps 6 persons:  Daisy, Orchid, & Iris  gites are heated for the winter months.  Each gite is approached via an external wooden staircase to a private decked area (4.5m x 3m) with patio table, chairs and umbrella for al-fresco dining. The Grounds

The property is situated in just over 1 acre of grounds with walnut tree, apple trees, cherry  trees and a hazelnut tree, plentiful flower filled gardens, large swimming pool (14m x 7m) with terrace and sun loungers, play area for children with swings, slide, trampoline, badminton/volley ball, space for  football  (all equipment provided) and a separate tranquil area for those seeking moments of peace.

We have a games room complete with pool table and football table and we offer bicycle use (subject to availability). There is a barbeque area for each gite with its own picnic table.

The resident English proprietors offer you a warm welcome but would ask you to note that the cottages are non smoking (you may feel free to smoke outside on the terrace) and we do not accept pets.

House hunters are welcome and we will give you the benefit of our experience if you would like. We offer special rates for longer lets, please see our Tarriff. 

Accommodation detail

Iris is one of four gites, it is on the end of the terrace of four.  Three gites are let and one is lived in by the owners.

About the location

Concores is between the rivers Lot and Dordogne and towns of Gordon and Cahors, a perfect and wonderful place to explore this beautiful and historic region of France.  We are 200m walk from the village, with bakery, shop and bar.  Gourdon 12km away has all the larger supermarkets, a wonderful Saturday morning market and some very good restaurants.
