Teresa and Steve Magill offer a warm welcome to this traditional Quercynoise stone barn which has been fully renovated and modernized to provide four comfortably furnished self contained holiday cottages set in a tranquil and traffic free area of outstanding natural beauty.

The cottages are fully equipped and provide a perfect self catering environment for groups of all sizes and ages. Each gite has an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen equipped with full oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The cottages also have individual shaded terraces, furnished for outside dining, which are arranged overlooking the shared pool. The pool is fenced and alarmed and has terracing and attractive decking with sunbeds and shades. The property has a large playing field with football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and a play area for small children and there is also a covered terrace with communal barbecue. Laundry facilities are available.

Two of the cottages have electric central heating and two have wood burners, perfect for cosy evenings in spring and autumn.

About the location

This traditional stone barn has been converted and modernised to provide four self contained gites, each fully equipped and comfortably furnished for groups of all ages and sizes. There is an attractive shared pool, which is fenced and alarmed, with decking sun loungers and shades.  Set In an elevated position with lovely views across the countryside, the properties enjoy beautiful private traffic free grounds in a delightful and tranquil area of rural south-west France.    

The village of Salviac is just 2 kilometres away and has bars, shops and resturants. There is also a bank and a post office. The Medieval Bastide town of Gourdon is 13 Kilometres to the east.

The area is renowned for its gastronomic delights; the locally produced goats cheeses, farmers markets and famed foie gras.  Being only 30 Kilometres from Cahors, many of the Cahors vineyards and Chateaux are within easy reach. All the attractions of the Dordogne, Sarlat, Rocamadour and Domme are just a short drive away.

How to get here

By road

• 9 ½ hours from Calais, exit A20 at Junction 55 or 56, take direction Gourdon

By rail

• 4 1/2 hours direct train from Paris, Austerlitz Station to Gourdon 

By Air

• Bergerac airport 1 hour  (Ryanair from Stansted or Liverpool or Flybe from Southampton)
• Rodez airport 2 hours (Ryanair from Stansted),
• Toulouse 2 hours (Easyjet or BA from Gatwick)
• Limoges 2 hours (Ryanair from Stansted, East Midlands, Liverpool)

Additional price information

• For larger groups wishing to reserve more than one gite, we offer a discount of 5% for two gites, 10% for three gites and 15% for all four gites.
• We require a deposit equal to 25% of the total cost at the time of booking. The balance will be due 6 weeks before arrival date.
• A security deposit of 200euro is payable on arrival. This will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure, providing the gite is left clean and without damage. 
• Changeover day is Saturday, although in mid or low season we can be more flexible. 3, 4, 5 or even 10 and 11 day breaks are possible. Please enquire with the owner for prices.
• Rental rates are per gite per week for the recommended number of occupants. Additional occupancy may incur a surcharge. 
• During Mid and Low season, we may be able to provide meals, breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals. Please enquire when making your reservation. 
• A meal on arrival can be provided, at a cost of 15 euros per person for 2 courses plus cheese or dessert. This should be requested when booking. 
• Cots and high chairs are provided at no extra charge but should be reserved in advance.
