About Broin in Côte-d'Or, Burgundy
Le Petit Village is situated in the heart of a small quiet Burgundian hamlet overlooking the Saone valley, between Dijon the capital of Burgundy to the north and the famous wine growing towns of Nuits st Georges and Beaune to the west on the Cote D’Or. The river Saone runs through the local towns of St Jean de losne and Seurre which are both around 6 miles away while the medieval city of Dole lies just a little further to the east. The area also benefits from having the Canal du Bourgogne running nearby and ending to the south in Chalon where it joins the Saone and the Canal du Centre.
The village lies on the edge of the Forrest of Citeaux which surrounds the famous Cistercian Abbaye de Citeaux.
