Where is it

Set within 7 acres of gardens, woods and a lake with it's own island this stunning 15th century manoir is oozing with charm. It is in a superb country environment yet only 300 metres away at the end of the private avenue, to the centre of the charming small village of Pommerit Le Vicomte. Here you can buy provisions from the corner shop, bread from the boulangerie, visit the local cafes, listed church or get stamps from the post office. A haven of peace and tranquillity that is quite unique and special Manoir Le Cosquer is ideal for relaxing family holidays, family reunions, special occassions, get togethers or 'club' holidays.

The manoir is rented on an exclusive basis with 6 ensuite bedrooms, or for smaller families/friends with 3 ensuite bedrooms - 'Le Petit Manoir' see unit details. Only when the manoir is not rented B&B is offered.

Accommodation detail

The West and East Wings of the manoir interconnect to provide very spacious accommodation for 12 to 20 people. The great feature is the 6 well appointed en-suite bedrooms as well as the 7th room (en-suite reading room).

Enjoy the manoir’s warm original features such as the huge chestnut and oak beams, terracotta flooring, monumental fireplace and more. If you like light and sunny rooms you will love the lounge, the reading room, and the grand farmhouse kitchen and separate dining room as they all enjoy a double aspect to the front and rear gardens and the lake. Three huge open fireplaces give an added bonus and complement to the exising layout.

The manoir has been recently renovated by master builders and is of a very good standard.

Ground Floor

Manoir Le Cosquer - West Wing

Entrance Hall
With original Louis XIV staircase (leading to first & second floor bedrooms), oak pannelled hall with doors to farmhouse kitchen and parqueted dinning room plus a separate WC.

Kitchen
A fully equipped and fitted oak kitchen with double sink, dishwasher, microwave, fridgefreezer, range cooker with large hob and oven(gas) plus separate electric oven plus separate gas/electric hob, coffee perculator, kettle, toaster, mixers and ful selection ofl kitchen utensils. The is also a washing machine and separate tumble dryer and lots of storage space. Featuring an original terracotta tiled floor, monumental stone fireplace, oak galleried ceiling and large kitchen table that can seat up to 10 people. French doors give direct access to rear park and lake beyond.

Dinning Room
Spacious dining room seating up to 20 people with chestnut parquet floor, open fireplace, exposed beams and bookshelves. Double doors lead to East Wing.

We have added a Sky TV, DVD and video player with tapes and dvds for your enjoyment. Double French windows give access to rear park and lake beyond.-

East Wing

A welcome basket of kitchen cupboard essentials to help for the first couple of days to include, for example, - olive oil, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, homemade jams, free-range eggs from our hens, milk, washing up liquid, cling film etc... and a couple of bottles of our home made cider or wine!

Suitability

Large family and friends re-unions, non-smoking, children friendly, all bedrooms on first and second floors.

A great place to relax and wind down & very quiet, particularly at night time - the only noises are usually the wildlife!

The perfect blend of charm and comfort

Very private setting but not isolated - only 300 metres up the private avenue to the village and corner shop.

About the location

Pommerit Le Vicomte village is a traditional Breton village, only 20 minutes drive from the stunning Granite Rose coast (beaches and fishing ports) & places such as Paimpol, Perros Guirec, Tréguier and the island of Bréhat are well worth a visit. If you want a local market try Pontrieux a little historic town just 10 minutes away.

A village population of 1800 people and boasting a grocery shop with a good selection of food and wines and a full time butcher, a visiting fish counter twice a week, a boulangerie, a cafe/tabac and maison de la presse, a post office, doctors' surgery, dentist, vet, pharmacy and pizza van two once a week.

There is also a listed church with its millenium tree.

An outside tennis court is available for the village residents and their guests.

Thank you so much for letting our family and friends stay here at Le Cosquer for the last three weeks. It is a beautiful and tranquil house and once again we have very much enjoyed our stay.
