Le Chêne Vert is set in two and a half acres of meadow and woodland bordered by the River Salz outside the picturesque village of Sougraigne. A stay at Le Chêne Vert offers you a holiday of total relaxation including indulging in a float in the flotation suite, lounging by the pool and sitting by the river. Alternatively, why not chill out with a book, watch the satellite TV or take advantage of the free broadband in one of the two comfortable living rooms.

The house is large and very comfortable it has 3 double bedrooms and sleeps 6/8. It has full gas central heating.

Ground Floor

• Kitchen – fully equipped with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine it leads onto
• Dining/Living room - with dining table and two sofa/daybeds, two sets of French doors open onto an outside dining patio with bbq and views over the hills.
• Salon – with French doors onto the garden, open fire place, TV with Sky free-view channels and DVD player.
• Shower room with toilet.

First Floor

• Master bedroom has a double bed and double sofa-bed with large fitted wardrobes and 4 windows each with views over the surrounding hills.
• Blue Bedroom has an antique double bed and overlooks the pool.
• Burgundy Bedroom has an antique double bed and overlooks the pool.
• Large bathroom

Outside:

• Ample car parking, carport, 10m swimming-pool with spacious terrace and solar powered shower.

About the location

4kms from the house is the bustling spa village of Rennes-les-Bains and the mysterious hill-top village of Rennes-le-Chateau. Also nearby are the stunning Cathar Castles, the Gorges de Galamus.

The Medieval walled city of Carcassonne is 45 minutes away. You can drive into the Pyrenees, in the winter skiing is available and in the summer spectacular views and walks

Perpignan and the Mediterranean is about 90 minutes our favourite is the seaside town of Collioure with its picturesque cobbled streets, pretty harbour and beaches, it's famous for it's artists. Many came here to paint because of the wonderful light, down the coast is Cadaques home of Salvador Dali.

How to get here

Directions to Le Chêne Vert from Sougraigne: Carry on past the village, on your right you will see a cemetery, continue until you come to the first turning on the left which says Les Francois, turn left here and Le Chêne Vert is the first house on the right (It is approx 2kms after the village).
