The property is a comfortable private villa with mature gardens situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on a hilltop above the picturesque bay of Sanary. There is a large beach extending all the way to Sanary along a smart 'promenade' five minutes downhill where there are  shops and a large number of cafes and restaurants.

About the location

Located in the Var, 10kms from Toulon, France’s first naval port, 50kms from Marseille, 60 kms from Aix-en-Provence and less than 1km from the characterful and unspoiled little market town of Sanary where local fishermen still bring in and sell their catch.

Sanary has one of the best  outdoor markets in all of Provence every week. It sells everything, from designer shoes to exotic spices. The town has many narrow streets full of interesting boutiques & restaurants. On the front, overlooking the little harbour, you can sit for hours watching people and the boats and yachts bobbing up and down in the port. Next door to Sanary is Six Fours, a charming little town surrounded by hills topped with old churches. At the bottom of the hill, a large beach and opportunities for participating in various kinds of watersports and beach activities.

All round, pine covered hills, sundrenched beaches, interesting resorts, unspoiled medieval hill-top villages. To the east and within reach for daily outings the sophisticated resorts of Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St. Tropez and Monaco, Les Embiez, a beautiful island 10 min. away by boat, Bandor, another island off Bandol, boat trips round the harbour of Toulon. To the west, Bandol, Cassis, Marseille and the Camargue. Go north and you will find yourself deep in Provence where you can explore the countryside and visit scores of small villages tucked away in the hills ant the beautiful historic town of Aix en Provence. You can sample the fine wines for which the region is famous, the Bandol and the Côtes de Provence vineyards in particular.

How to get here

Transport to and from Toulon station and Marseille, Nice and Toulon airports. Car hire can be organised.

There are EasyJet flights from Bristol, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Newcastle and Liverpool to Nice (2 hours away) . Gatwick to Marseille (1hour away). Ryanair from Stansted to Toulon (30 min) Stansted to Marseille (1h)

By train: Eurostar from London and TGV straight to Toulon with an easy change at Lille Europe Station.

Local coaches and trains will take you all over the region. There is a local bus at the end of the lane.
