Superbly restored and comfortably furnished 17th century stone cottage situated in a pretty winegrowing village with shop, lively bar and restaurant, surrounded by vineyards and stunning scenery. Breathtaking views over the village and mountains beyond from the sunny roof terrace.

High speed wi-fi internet connection has been installed for 2009 season.

About Paziols in Aude, Languedoc Roussillon

Le Carignan is located in oldest part of the pretty winegrowing village of Paziols just 45 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and 60 miles from the Pyrenean ski resorts of Les Angles and Formigeures. Barcelona and the walled town of Carcassonne make memorable day trips and the area abounds with major historical sites, places of interest and wine producers.

Paziols is a tranquil village but in the centre there is a lively bar, restaurant and shop for fresh bread every morning. Perpignan (45 minutes) and Narbonne (50 mins) have great shopping and regular weekly markets. There is superb walking, cycling on the doorstep and river swimming in crystal clear water just outside the village. The neighbouring village of Tuchan (3km) has numerous shops, restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool.

The area is famous for its spectacular scenery, unspoilt villages, empty roads, clean rivers, castles and gorges.

The owner lives in the village and is always available for local information, what's on etc and to help make the most of your stay.

How To Get To Paziols in Aude, South of France and the Riviera

Paziols is easy to get to from any of the airports in the area. The nearest aiport is Perpignan with regular, year round low cost Ryanair flights. From Perpignan take the D117 passing through Estagel then, after 2km, turning right onto the D611 following the signs to Paziols.
