Beautifully Refurbished Stone Farmhouse near Roanne
A spacious and elegant farm house set in the beautiful surroundings of a neighbouring chateau. The house has its own small but discreet garden.
The house is set in rural France, walking distance to the small village of St Cyr de Favieres and a 10 minute drive to the busy town of Roanne. 1 hours drive to the beautiful city of Lyon.
It is situated in beautiful countryside with breath taking views. We are close to a large lake, castle and old villages. There are plenty of places to visit and Roanne has lots to offer with restaurants, shops, markets and supermarkets. The Loire flows through Roanne and boat hire is available. It is a central location for travelling around France. Good skiing is under 1 hours drive.
This a great place to relax and escape from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. Once there you will find it difficult to leave!

Spacious accommodation on 2 floors.
Ground floor
This is completely open plan:-
- Lounge area - has comfy furnishings for a relaxed atmosphere.
- Dining area - Plenty of seating at 2 dinning tables (1 which is in the bay window). Childs high chair.
- Large farmhouse kitchen area - with range cooker in the centre.
- Cloakroom
- Log burning fireplace, which also has a safety glass which can be closed down over fire if required.
- Beautiful views over Chateau gardens.
- Porched terrace area with seating and small garden.
First floor
- Double bedroom - with large dual aspect, 4 poster bed and en suite shower room.
- Single bedroom
- Twin bedroom
- Double bedroom
- Lounge - with comfy sofa, also sofa bed, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. There are walled cupboards housing a selection of board games and dart board.
- Two shower rooms
- Two seperate WCs
- All bedrooms have been tastefully furbished in a typical French design and have plenty of room for clothing.
- Heating in all rooms.
- Travel cot is also available.
About St Cyr De Favieres in Rhône, Rhone Alps
The river Loire flows through Roanne and the region has many places to visit. There is in and out door public swimming baths in town. Close to the local village horse riding is available.
The region is great for photography and artists with breath taking scenery close at hand. At Port du Bully you can canoe, hire a boat or baske in the scenery and have a meal and a drink. The region is great for cycling, walking and appeals to all ages.
At Villerest there is a man made beach with lovely views over the lake and nearby dam. Le Petit Train runs alongside, mini golf and pedallo hire are also available.
Locally are many places of interest from historic villages and castles. Local markets run twice a week. The region is normally warm and temperate from April till October. In the winter there are out door ice rinks in Roanne and we are only 45 minutes drive to Chalmazel ski resort.
