La Haute Hague offers you a choice of three charming and family friendly cottages - the Cidrerie (1 bedroom), the Stables (3 bedrooms. Low season 1 bedroom option available ) and the Longère (available as either 3 or 4 bedroom property).  The fourth property at La Haute Hague is the Farmhouse where the owners live on site;  this alows them to ensure that the cottages are always presented at the highest possible standard and to be available to assist guests should  problems occur.

Each cottage has been luxuriously furnished to provide the perfect family home from home. The kitchens are fully equipped with high-quality appliances and the upper floors are spacious, carpeted and comfortably furnished.

Additionally The Stables is perfect for those guests requiring ground floor accommodation as it offers a downstairs twin bedroom with an en-suite shower and toilet!

La Haute Hague is set in 3 acres of delightful shared gardens and grounds which provide a safe environment for children to run and play as well as sunny and shady spots to relax in. Each property has excellent views; of the large lawn at the front which is suitable for all sorts of sports and games and to the rear overlooking the surrounding fields and valley.

Guests are invited to use the sunroom and barbecue area or to use one of the mobile barbeques in order to dine alfresco during the long summer evenings. A selection of seating and tables can be found around the grounds.

Yours hosts – Paul and Lisa live in the Farmhouse at La Haute Hague.  During the week, Lisa works for a French bank and Paul maintains the property and gardens.  In the evenings they are often in great demand  to make up numbers for Badminton or football, which is frequently played on the large front lawn but  they are equally happy to remain at a distance to respect guests' privacy.

There are plenty of things to do and places to see in the area, and La Haute Hague is ideally located for these attractions.  For instance, the seaside town of Granville with its miles of sandy beaches is just 20 minutes away, the world famous island monastery at Mont-st-Michel is just 45 minutes away and within 60 minutes are the Normandy Landing Beaches as well as the town of Bayeux with the famous Bayeux Tapestry.

Whilst prices are per property and arrival/departure dates in the high season are specified, Paul and Lisa are happy to discuss discounts for group bookings and if possible different arrival/departure dates outside of high season if required. Please contact us if you require additional beds to those specified in the properties. We will  try to be flexible to suit your needs.

Accommodation detail

The Cidrerie is a charming and surprisingly large one bedroom detached cottage sleeping 2 people in comfort and privacy making it perfect for couples and honeymooners!  This property stands in its own gardens and is set slightly apart from the other La Haute Hague properties and offers lovely views over the surrounding gardens, fields and valley.

 Renovated to the highest standard the property comprises of:

Open Plan Ground Floor - modern fitted kitchen and living area

• DVD, Video and HiFi
• selection of books, board games and videos

First Floor

• Double bedroom - with wonderful views of surrounding gardens and countryside
• Bathroom - comprising of bath, toilet and handbasin
• Landing area - with sufficient space to place a single bed or child's cot.

Bedding and bed linen included.

Towels are available when prebooked for a small additional charge.

For small children a baby pack is available at a small additional cost which includes travel cot, high chair and stair gate.  Please reserve in advance.

About the location

Whilst in the countryside La Haute Hague is at the same time close to both the A84 and the D7 roads. making it ideally placed for exploring the delights of Normandy. Nearby is the historic and busy town of Villedieu-les-Poeles (5 minutes) which is famous for its copperware and where you will find numerous bars, pavement cafes and restaurants as well a large weekly market.

The coastal town of Granville (25 minutes) as well as being a lovely shopping centre has miles of sandy beaches, numerous restaurants and a casino.

Further to the south is the delightful town of Avranches (20 minutes) and to the north and east, Countances (25 minutes) with its magnificent cathedrals, Bayeux (1 hour) with its tapestry and Caen (1 hour) with its shopping centre and museum.

Additional price information

• Bedding and bed linen are included in the rental cost
• Towels are available when prebooked at a cost of £4 per person per week (one hand towel and one bath towel per person).
• Baby pack available including travel cot, high chair, stair gate, baby bath and potty when reserved in advance, hire fee £15 per week.  Please note that you will need to bring your own blankets and linen for the travel cot.
• Electricity is monitored and normal usage is included in the weekly rental cost. A charge may be made for excessive use. (We have never yet needed to charge this!) 
• Refundable breakages deposit required.
