Holiday Cottage in South West France

Sendelle is a modern renovated barn on two floors. Outside there is a terrace and private pool in 18 acres of land including plenty of grassy areas and mature trees surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside. The area is very rural with small farms dotted about the hillsides.

Our nearest village, which has all the essential emenities, is a 5 minute drive away. The rivers Lot and Garonne are within easy reach and you can fish, play golf and go horse riding all within a few kilometres of our cottage. So there is plenty to see and do or you could just laze in the sun by the pool.

Sendelle comprises:

Ground floor:

• Kitchen /living / dining room - open-plan living and dining area with integral fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The lounge area has double doors leading out onto the terrace overlooking the pool.

First floor:

• 2 double bedrooms
• Twin bedroom
• Shower room - with toilet
• Separate toilet

For heating there are 2 wall mounted heaters in the living area.

About Sauvagnas in Lot-et-Garonne, Aquitaine

• Sendelle is situated in the department of Lot et Garonne, which gets its name from the two large rivers that flow through the department. It is a delightful and unspoilt part of France that has many medieval hilltop villages and bastide towns.
• The two main towns near us are Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot. These are delightful towns very different in character which, as well as places of interest, have many pavement cafes and restaurants and large shopping areas.
• Sendelle is about 5 minutes drive from our nearest village - Laroque Timbaut, which is about halfway between Agen and Villeneuve. The village has a mini-market, butcher, 2 bakers, 2 hair salons, petrol station and a chemist, along with a bar, French restaurant, Pizzaria and Brasserie.
• The area is very rural with quiet lanes and rolling hills - even the main roads are not busy.
• There are markets in nearly every village and town selling wonderful local produce - the area is well known for its fruit (especially plums) and vegetables. Also, duck and foie gras are the specialities of the region.
• You can drive to the Mediterranean Sea in 3 hours and the Atlantic or Pyrenees Mountains in 2-3 hours.

How To Get To Sauvagnas in Lot-et-Garonne, South West France

The property is about 15kms North East of Agen.

Plane: Toulouse and Bordeaux airports are about 1 hour 30 minutes drive away in either direction, they have flights from Bristol, Gatwick, Birmingham and Luton.  Bergerac airport is about 1 hour 15 minutes drive away and has flights from Birmingham, Exeter, Southampton, East Midlands, Liverpool and Stanstead.

Train: The nearest high speed train (TGV) station is Bordeaux (1.5 hours), the closest mainline station is Agen. Motorail is possible to Toulouse.

Ferry/Road: There are many choices, but the closest ferry port is St Malo (6 hrs), the furthest Calais, about 9 hours or you could even use the ferry port at Santander, Spain.
