Accommodation detail

This 17th century Perigordian farm provides spacious accommodation for 6/8  to 12 people (plus baby): 6/8 people in the farmhouse and up to 4 people in the adjacent 18th century gîte.

The farmhouse can sleep 6/8 people. It comprises an

• Entrance hall
• Large lounge/dining room
• 2 double bedrooms
• 1 family bedroom - with one double and two single beds with en suite with a hand basin and a shower.
• Separate WC
• Shower room - with shower, WC and hand basin
• Kitchen - with dishwasher, microwave, modern farm gas cooker & washing machine
• All on ground floor

The gîte can sleep up to 4 people.

• 1 double bedroom also in loft - narrow staircase - accessible via twin room
• 1 twin room, in loft ideal for 2 children
• Lounge/dining room on ground floor with wonderful large ancient fireplace
• Kitchen corner 
• Shower room on ground floor - comprising WC, shower and washbasin.

Cot, baby bath & high chair are available on request.

About the location

The farm surrounded by a number of charming old barns is set in peaceful, attractive countryside and enjoys very pleasant views.

There is large new swimming pool 10 x 5m with a deep as well as shallow end, which is accessible by a roman staircase. The pool is fenced and is secure for children. Garden furniture, outdoor games, a table tennis and a barbecue are provided.

The Dordogne is one of the most beautiful areas of France. It is richly wooded, interspersed with abundant farmland, rivers, chateaux, mediaeval towns and villages.

Nearest towns: Bergerac 15 miles, Lalinde 7 miles.

The farm is perfectly situated in the Perigord Noir (Black Perigord) at close to equal distance between Bergerac to the West, Sarlat to the East and Perigueux to the North (each between 25 and 40km away).

Nearest village: Sainte Foy de Longas 1.5 miles, Sainte Alvere 4 miles.

River Dordogne 3 miles.

By Air: 

The nearest airports are:

• Bergerac (25 km) - Search online for Bergerac Airport
• Bordeaux (100 km) - Search online for Bordeaux Airport
• Limoges (140 km) - Search online for Aeroport Limoges

Airlines to these airports are Ryanair, Flybe, BA, Airfrance, BMI Baby, Twin Jet, Transavia.

All major car rental companies are represented on all airports. Your airline will be able to advise. Taxis available at Bergerac airport.

By Road:

• From the West: via Bordeaux - Libourne - Bergerac
• From the East: via Sarlat - Le Bugue
• From the North: via Paris - Orleans - Vierzon - Limoges
• Useful tip: Search online for AA or Michelin (Routeplanner)

By Train:

There is a train station in Bergerac, which is served by the train line Bordeaux - Libourne - Bergerac - Sarlat. During the week there are trains on average every 60 - 90 minutes. During the week end the train service is much reduced to 2 - 3 trains a day.
