17th Century Gite with Heated Pool and Hot Tub

3 Star 17th Century gites set in pleasant garden with swimming pool. It is situated in the centre of Le Gicq a small French village at  the heart of the Saintes, Cognac, La Rochelle triangle which boasts its own unique microclimate, making this the perfect location for your French gite vacation.

The Robin can be booked together with the Conflower and would create accomodation for 14 people, ideal for you and your extended family or friends.

The 17th centuary gites are situated behind the church and is surrounded by walls on all sides to give a private secluded area with large ornamental garden complete with 12m x 5m heated swimming pool, and 8 person hot tub. 

There is also a seperate play area for children with swings and a slide together with other toys.

Holiday Accommodation at The Robin

3 bedroom gite awarded 3 stars by the French Tourist board. Renovated completely in December 2005 and offers top class accommodation as follows:

  • Lounge - with 3 piece suit, TV with DVD player.
  • Kitchen - fully fitted comprising electric cooker with full oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle.

About Le Gicq in Charente-Maritime, Poitou Charentes

Local restaurants are 5 minutes away and the nearest market town is 7km away. 25 minutes to Cognac with the grand distileries for you to visit, 25 minutes in the opposite direction the ancient roman town of Saintes with the beautiful river Charente running through it.

The old capital town in Roman times, St Jean d'Angeley is 20 minutes away, all these towns have grand buildings and many excellent restaurants with wonderful French cuisine.

Angouleme is 40 minutes away and the Queen of the Charente Maritime, LaRochelle on the atlantic sea is 75 minutes away.
