All our suites are beautifully proportioned, with period furnishings and ample space to sit down and relax.  All have large private bathrooms, en-suite, which are tastefully decorated. In the summer the sun streams through the windows and the birds in the garden are the only interruption to the peace and tranquillity.

Unwind in one of our two resident's lounges after dinner and enjoy a coffee or a liqueur. Alternatively, while the sun is setting, take a stroll around the grounds and through the woodland areas where there is an abundance of wildlife.

About the location

The Chateau is situated in the picture postcard village of Charly, where weeping willows line the stream running through the centre of the village.

The nearby beautiful medievil City of Bourges is fantastic for sight seeing with it's World famous Cathederal and numerous boutiques. The town is lively with many restaurants, bars and cafes to be found on it's cobbled streets. Closer to the Chateau are the towns of Sancoins and Dun -sur-Auron with their weekly markets and an open air swimming pool.

The Chateau is close to many picturesque villages like Apremont which is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The surrounding area is also full of magnificent Chateaux which can be visited by the public. Have a picnic on the banks of the Loire or indulge in the water sports on offer.

You may wish to spend your time exploring the vineyards and wine cellars from the world famous Sancerre to the lesser known Menetou Salon. The finest porcelain in France is produced in the region.   Visit the ceramics centre at La Borne and see how it is produced.

By Train:

France has a comprehensive rail network with Bourges and Nevers being the closest mainline stations to the Chateau.  We are able to arrange transport from Bourges for you on request. It is possible to hire a car outside Bourges station.

By Car:
