Our lovely stone cottages are over 200 years old and have been carefully restored keeping all their original character with vintage oak beams and beautiful stone walls.

Belle Vue earnt its name from its attractive arched end window with patio doors leading out to its own private area of the landscaped gardens.

This cottage sleeps up to 6 people and the details of the accommodation are as follows:

Entering the cottage by the door from the courtyard leads straight into the

• Well equipped kitchen - containing all the necessities for your comfortable stay. The dining area is adjacent with its pine table and six chairs.
• Double aspect lounge (window at one side, arched patio doors at the end) is comfortably furnished with settee, matching easy chairs and board games to choose from on the coffee table.

Leading off the lounge is the

• Bright and airy bathroom with its walk in shower, wash hand basin and toilet.

The polished wood open tread staircase leads up to the

• Mezzanine gallery off which are two double bedrooms - one containing a double bed, the other two singles. On the mezzanine is a comfortable bed settee either for use to have a cosy quiet read whilst the rest of the family are occupied elsewhere, or for sleeping on when you have a party of six in the cottage.

If you have a baby or toddler in your party, cot and stairgates will be provided.

About the location

Just 2 km from the medieval market town of Guemene-sur-Scorff, our two cottages are accessed via a welcoming private drive. Both properties have far reaching views across southern Brittany and are situated in superbly landscaped grounds, containing not only a boules court but also an above ground pool.

The pretty courtyard is a picture with its geraniums overflowing from window boxes and containers ... and the garden loungers, hammocks and barbecue facilities ensure that you make the most of the lovely environment. Situated  in the middle of southerm Morbihan, the cottages are ideally placed for exploration of both coastal regions and historic cities like Vannes, only 40 minutes away.

How to get here

Situated equal distance from the ports of Roscoff and St Malo, an hour and a half after docking at either of these ports you will be turning into the courtyard. Cherbourg and Caen are a four hour drive. Our nearest large town is Pontivy, just a 20 mins car drive.

The cottages are only 80 miles from Brest Airport and 90 miles from Dinard, with car hire easily available at both airports. New routes by air are increasing all the time - check on Lorient which is only a half hour drive.
