This former farmhouse has been thoughtfully restored over the past 10 years, and is able to accommodate 6 guests comfortably. The property is set within a lawned garden with views over open countryside. There is a 5 x 10m swimming pool, which is opposite a covered terrace.

Further covered terrace to the side of the house, which has an outdoor kitchen containing the washing machine, an additional fridge, sink and small preparation area. Large pretty lawned garden bordered on 3 sides by open countryside. The garden is a secure flat grassed area where children can play safely.

Downstairs

• Large kitchen/dining room - fully equipped with fridge/freezer, hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is a lovely solid oak dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils.
• Shower room with shower, basin and toilet is also downstairs.
• Bedroom 1 - a large en-suite room with French doors leading onto the terrace opposite the pool.
• Ensuite bathroom - has a shower, basin and toilet with separate door leading onto an outside covered terrace.

Upstairs

• Mezzanine level at the top of the staircase overlooks the kitchen/dining room. There is a comfortable sofa (which converts into a sofa bed for additional guests). This area has a radio, satellite television and DVD player for those quieter moments.
• Bedroom 2 - a large double room with an en-suite toilet and washbasin and since it is situated to the back of the property has lovely views over open countryside and the swimming pool.
• Bedroom 3 - a smaller double with the same views of the countryside as Bedroom 2.

About the location

Merigot is 1.5km from the town of Riberac.  A complimentary welcoming pack containing tea, coffee and wine awaits your arrival.

The market town of Riberac has shops, supermarkets, banks, a Post Office, restaurants and cafes. It hosts a regular Friday morning market, which is one of the largest in area. There is a lovely local restaurant within walking distance of the property.

Attractions

The beautiful town of Brantome is worth a visit (30 miles), it is known as the ‘Venice of the Dordogne’. Sarlat is an attractive medieval town, which hosts a weekly summer market (60 miles). Perigueux is thought of as the cultural capital of the region (28 miles), and has one of the largest churches in South-West France. Bergerac, Bordeaux, Lalinde and Montignac are also close by.
