This recently refurbished (Nov 06) first and second floor apartment is ideally placed overlooking the Baie de la Somme in St Valery Sur Somme. Walking distance from shops and restaurants, St Valery was the point from where William the Conqueor set sail for England and is still a tratditional fishing post steeped in history.

The area around St Valery is known for its birdlife having a fanastic Bird Sanctuary nearby. A narrow guage steam railway operates accross the salt marshes to Le Crotoy and this property is also well placed for exploring the beaches along the Cote d'Opal.

About the location

This Apartment in period town house, overlooks the Baie de la Somme. Within walking distance of local shops and restaurants in St. Valery which was the point from which William the Conqueror set sail for England and is still a traditional fishing port which also provides a fine Sunday market for local smallholders and others.

A narrow gauge steam railway operates across the salt marshes to Le Crotoy. The town is within easy reach of beaches along the Cote d’Opal coast as well as many places of interest which can be visited inland.
