A recently refurbished 16th Century Fisherman's style cottage with beams and open fireplace comfortably appointed accommodating up to 7 people. Set in cobbled street and within walking distance of the quayside, local shops and restaurants. 

St. Valery was the point from which William the Conqueror set sail for England and is still a traditional fishing port which also provides a fine Sunday market for local smallholders and others. A narrow gauge steam railway operates across the salt marshes to Le Crotoy. The town is within easy reach of beaches along the Cote d'Opal coast as well as many places of interest which can be visited inland.

Please note that this property is not suitable for young children or people with mobility problems.

• One double bedroom with bathroom leading off.

Second Floor:

• One bedroom with 3 single beds - please note that access to this property is through the bedroom on the 1st floor.

Outside:

• There is 60m² garden with lawn, barbecue and garden furniture.  

About the location

Fishermans cottage is conveniently situated in St. Valery which was the point from which William the Conqueror set sail for England and is still a traditional fishing port which also provides a fine Sunday market for local smallholders and others and others and which must not be missed for it's great atmosphere and local delicacies.

There is plenty to see in this splendind area, the old town of St Valery with it's castle ramparts and the slightly newer areas with interesting shops and restaurants. A steam train can be taken to Crotoy on the other side of the bay, whilst the nearest beach for swimming is about 20 mins by car. This town has a nice friendly atmostphere whilst remaining quiet but with masses to do around the area.

How to get here

From Calas follow the A16 autoroute towards Abbeville. Exit at Bernay en Ponthieu. Take the N1 towards Abbeville and turn right at Nouvion, direction Noyelles/St. Valery. Follow the road into Noyelles keeping to the right and just after the railway crossing you arrive on the main Le Crotoy/ St. Valery road. Turn left and at the first roundabout turn right towards St. Valery. At the second roundabout turn right and follow this road (RN40) through the town along the harbour.
