Superb Property with Pool
Bastidon des Oliviers is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, less than ten minutes walk from the hilltop village of Claviers, near Bargemon (voted “one of the most beautiful villages in France”).
Bastidon des Oliviers is a large, split level property comprising a luxurious three bedroom villa with an independent two bedroom apartment on the lower level. Both dwellings are fully self-contained with private terrace space and separate entrance, although they can also inter-connect for joint lets. They can be let separately or together, except in peak season when we only rent the entire property for up to 10 people.
The property is set amongst terraced olive groves in over an acre of land on a hillside with a spectacular infinity pool, enjoying glorious views over the surrounding countryside and the villages of Claviers and Bargemon. The villa and grounds are South facing and enjoy maximum day long sunshine throughout the year, as well as being completely secluded. The large pool (11m x 4m), pool terrace and extensive private gardens are available for the enjoyment of all guests. A quiet road leads directly from the grounds to Claviers village.
Holiday Accommodation at Bastidon des Oliviers Villa and Apartment
Bastidon des Oliviers is a large, split level property comprising a luxurious three bedroom villa with an independent two bedroom apartment on the lower level. Both dwellings are fully self-contained with private terrace space and separate entrance. Equally for combined lets, the villa and apartment can inter-connect through the large utility room.
The main villa comprises
- a large L-shaped living and dining room with French doors onto the terrace,
- a fully fitted oak kitchen, one double and two twin bedrooms,
- a spacious bathroom with bath (with shower fitting), washbasin,
- shower room,
- individual WC and
- separate washroom/WC.
The apartment comprises
- a spacious living room with a curtained off archway through to
- a twin bedroom,
- separate double bedroom,
- kitchen fitted with oak units and
- shower room with washbasin and WC.
The property is set in its own terraced olive grove in a peaceful, secluded location, offering splendid views from all points over the surrounding hills and the villages of Claviers and Bargemon. It is a 10 minute walk to Claviers village. The villa and grounds are South facing and enjoy maximum day long sunshine throughout the year. The large infinity pool (11m x 4m), pool terrace and extensive private gardens are available for the enjoyment of all guests.
About Claviers in Var, Provence - Cote d'Azur
Claviers is located in a beautiful area of the Var, boasting some of the finest scenery Provence has to offer. The countryside is predominantly wooded hillsides dotted with picturesque, perched villages, interspersed with luxuriant valleys and deep gorges. The Claviers area has all of this, plus mile after mile of pine and olive groves, vineyards, châteaux and villages untouched by the passing of time. A fabulous secluded location, yet within easy access of the Cote d’Azur resorts, which can be quickly reached via the A8 motorway (20 minutes away). It is a 45 minute drive to Cannes or to the Gorges du Verdon, 1 hour to Nice airport or St. Tropez and 35 minutes to the sandy beaches of Frejus and St. Raphael.
The Claviers area has all of this, plus mile after mile of pine and olive groves, vineyards, châteaux and villages untouched by the passing of time. Quite incredible when you appreciate how close it is to the sophisticated coast.
There are numerous interesting nearby villages. Seillans and Bargemon have both been voted amongst the most attractive villages in France but in our view all the local villages are very attractive and worth a visit in their own right. Amongst the nearest are Callas, unspoilt and typical of the area; Fayence, the largest and busiest with a lovely viewpoint and famous gliding club; Callian, ancient and very pretty; St. Cezaire, perched on a cliff edge, and Mons, nestled in the hills, with superb views over the Gorges de la Siagne and the coast. And, if you prefer swimming in a lake or want to indulge in watersports or fishing, Lake St. Cassien is just a short drive away or you can visit the impressive Lac de St. Croix at the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon. Most outdoor activites are available locally including hiking, climbing, canyoning, golf, tennis, gliding, non-motorised watersports on the lake and most watersports at the coast.

How To Get To Claviers in Var, South of France and the Riviera
The property is situated 1 hour from Nice airport and from Toulon airport. It is 1 hour 30 from Marseille airport.
To drive from Calais takes about 10 hours.
There are several train stations nearby including Draguignan, Les Arcs and St. Raphael.

Additional price information
- Pricing is in £ per week, fully inclusive of gas, electricity, linen and cleaning. A 20% (non-refundable) deposit is required to book. The balance is due 12 weeks before arrival. We also require a refundable damage deposit of £500 for the villa and apartment, payable at least 2 weeks before arrival.
- We only rent the entire property together in peak season so the villa and apartment are not available separately at that time.
- The prices quoted are for 10 people in July and August. Otherwise the price quoted is for up to 6 people, the price for 10 being slightly higher.
