The Potter Family - York

What a truly fantastic holiday! The gite is probably one of the best equipped we have ever stayed in; the surrounding area is beautiful with some gorgeous views and Dave & Caroline must be the most hospitable hosts ever!
(They can’t do enough for you!)

The Goulding Family

What a lovely place to come to for our first visit to France. Great people & lovely places, and fantastic views and country way of life. Plenty of places to see and do things.

Paul & Jan Atkinson

The Gite is well equipped and comfortable for a lengthy stay. This is a beautiful area with plenty to do and see at any time of the year.

Ron & Brenda Middleton, Geoff & Linda Petterson

This was our first visit to France and won’t be our last. The Gite was excellent and contained everything you could ever need, it was like home from home.
Many thanks to Caroline & Dave who were fabulous and gave us lots of help and information during our stay.

Derek & Tracy Jones & family

Thank you very much Caroline & Dave for a lovely stay in your gite. We have just spent 3 weeks here and have had everything we needed. We have stayed in many gites in France, the vast majority of which have not come close to this. The info is excellent and the goodie box on arrival is an excellent idea.

Justyn, Amanda & Dominic Laurens

Arrived in glorious sunshine & a warm welcome from Caroline & Dave. The gite is very well equipped and the best we’ve stayed in. The area has beautiful scenary and plenty to do. Our son Dominic (5) enjoyed the farm, the gite & especially the garden, The gite and farm have such a relaxing feeling, we extended our stay for an extra few days.

 Pat, Dave, Amie & Luke

Thank you Caroline & Dave for making us so welcome. The gite is beautiful & we have had a lovely time. We will be back & perhaps for even longer. Thanks again.

Nicola & Joshua Beaken

It’s been absolutely fantastic being here, all the animals settled within days (horses, dogs, cats et al!) and Joshy & I are reluctant to leave!  Thank you so much for everything you’ve done, you guys couldn’t be better hosts, now friends, everyone who is lucky enough to book with you, will have a fantastic time.

Sue & Steve Holford, Val Waltho & Reg Grocott

Your gite is perfect. My father-in-laws first trip to France and 2nd abroad in his 80th year. He loved the countryside and would spend hours wondering around the lake.  A wonderful time by all.

The Matthews & The Jones’

A lovely quiet, relaxing two weeks, lots of room for everyone and scenery to enjoy. We spent the first week doing absolutely nothing!!  Fantastic – in & out of the pool and walks down to the lake. Many thanks to Caroline & Dave who kept us supplied with duck eggs – there’s no going back!

The Abels

A really beautiful spot to get away from it all – we haven’t slept this well in ages!  The girls loved all the wildlife, and the sky at night out here is astonishing. The gite has absolutely everything you could need.

Gill & Tony Howell

We’ve really enjoyed our few days here in such spacious and well provided surroundings. It was lovely to have dark nights and see the stars so clearly – as there are always too many street lights back home.  The children loved the animals.

Justyn, Amanda & Dominic Laurens

Yet again we had a wonderful time, & Caroline & Dave were as hospitable as ever. We enjoyed exploring the area again, but in a different light with it being summer this time. So much to do, we will be back again & again, & with such a great base we know we will have a good time.

Jilly, Shaun & Gareth

Had a brill time again, lovely to see Dave & Caroline again. Gareth loved his little “friend” Twist!  Fab gite and overall a fab time. See you in December.

Maree, Ian, Kate, Elise, & Tim Ainsworth, Brisbane, Australia

Thank you for your hospitality. The gite is warm & comfortable. The meal you prepared for us was delicious and well appreciated. Your help with all the little things such as the DVDs and freshly cooked bread really made our stay special. Merci et au revoir!

Kleintjes Family, Holland

One of a rare Xmas abroad! We enjoyed peace & quiet, it is really dark at night. Most relaxing and experienced sunny days outside. Shared great Xmas buffet on Boxing Day with other British friends from Dave & Caroline. Very much appreciated all amenities & open fire with oak wood! Worth recommending this location for a peaceful vacation.

Tracie, Dave Thelma Ricketts

The gite is the most comfortable we have stayed in , the open fire keeps the house warm & cosy and the gite is so well equipped it’s a home from home. Best gite ever!

Accommodation detail

The renovated farmhouse is equipped to a very high standard and consists of:

Outside:

Whilst fully renovated the gite retains many original features adding to its charm and authenticity. In addition to the two wood burners, the gite is fully heated by electric panel heaters, so you can enjoy yourselves all year round!

The estate borders a large 7 hectare lake, known locally for its excellent carp fishing. Fishing permits can be purchased locally, or arranged for you in advance.

Having stayed ourselves in many gites and holiday cottages in the UK and France, we wanted to create something a little different. The little touches that can make your hard earned break away that bit special.

We offer an advance grocery service, the little bits'n'bobs ready for you in your gite. No unforeseen extras, privacy and no disturbances, but help and advice if you need it.

We remember arriving to find no soap, not a tea towel in sight, no cling film to wrap the opened food in.........a dash to the shops the minute you arrive!! At Les Brégères, we have tried to provide everything you will need to settle in straight away, whether it is putting the kettle on for a cuppa (tea and coffee provided) or opening the wine (supplied)!

Our reputation is vital, we aim high and pay close attention to the detail.
