Magnificent south facing traditional country house with superb solar heated indoor swimming pool, from April to the end of September the pool is heated by the recently installed electric heat exchanger pump system to guarantee a warm temperature (around 27°C) ; the pool heating costs are included in the price.

The property has been tastefully decorated and retains the feeling of a family home. La Pierre Blanche is totally secluded within its own extensive grounds and ideally situated in a calm peaceful hamlet surrounded by countryside. Located 10 minutes drive from the coast and the beautiful medieval town of Dinan. 

Accommodation detail

La Pierre Blanche has 4 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeps 8/11 with additional cabin bed and sofa bed provided. Fully furnished cot room also provided.

An ideal "home from home" La Pierre Blanche is beautifully furnished and is equipped to a very high standard. Ideal for large families or two families sharing.

Ground floor

• Kitchen: Fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining area with light oak wall units, extendable pine table and chairs. Electric oven, gas hob & extractor hood, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
• Lounge: Large and welcoming lounge, displaying original beams, stone work and fire place. Beautifully furnished with modern, practical furniture and a very comfortable leather sofa, seating up to 10 people, Satellite TV Sky & French Channels, video, DVD, radio/CD/stereo player. French doors leading to the large conservatory. 
• Utility room: with washing machine, tumble dryer and small sink unit.
• Separate toilet
• Conservatory: Good sized conservatory furnished with cabinet unit and a comfortable futon sofa/bed. Also features a large table (max 10 people) & chairs, the table can be easily converted into a American pool table.

Access direct from the conservatory into the pool area (The sliding doors between the conservatory and the pool can be closed and locked for security reasons to comply with French law)

• Indoor swimming pool: Beautiful indoor pool with telescopic cover (8 x 4 m) including a large selection of children's inflatables/swimming aids.

First floor

Two spacious south facing bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers.

• Bedroom 1: King sized four poster bed. 
• Bedroom 2: Twin beds. 
• Babyroom/study: Travel cot, change table, stair gates plus all other baby/toddler accessories provided.
• Bathroom: Spacious bathroom with double sink unit, corner bath, heated towel rail and fitted cupboards.
• Separate wc.

Second floor

Two light south facing bedrooms with wardrobes. Both rooms have beautiful views over looking the countryside. 

• Bedroom 3 : Twin beds plus cabin bed.
• Bedroom 4: King-size bed.
• Mezzanine/children's play: A spacious area situated between the 2 bedrooms, including sofa bed accommodation. A good selection of quality children's toys also provided. 
• Shower room: With double sink unit, toilet and heated towel rail.

About the location

La Pierre Blanche is within very easy reach of the beautiful 'Côte de Emerauld' (the Emerald Coast) 10 minutes drive away, with lovely golden fine sandy beaches at  St Jacut de la Mer and Lancieux. Nearby you have the very popular medieval town of Dinan (7 kms) the Edwardian sea-side resort of Dinard (15 kms)  and the beautiful old town of St Malo (20 kms).

How to get here

By Ferry:

• The ferry port of St Malo is about 15-20 min drive from La Pierre Blanche and 10 min from International Airport at Dinard.
• Brittany Ferries channel crossing: Portsmouth-St Malo, Condor Ferries have a daily car and passenger service from Weymouth and Poole to St Malo (May to September).

By Plane:

• Dinard International Airport (Ryan Airways, East Midlands, Stanstead and Bristol to Dinard) discounted flights available if you book well in advance.
• If you require car hire this can be arranged.

Additional price information

• These above rates include - the bed linen, towels, tea towels and the end of holiday cleaning service.
• Bookings are from Saturday 16 hrs / Saturday 10 hrs. 
• Additional charge of 50 euros per week if you require the pool to be heated by the electric heating pump system - 27°C (newly installed in 2011).
• During cold spells (from October to April), guests will be accountable for the electricity they consume at local tariff rates.
• Long Winter lets available at very reasonable rates, please contact us for further details.
