18th-Century barn conversion offering 6 luxuriously appointed bedrooms all en-suite, wonderful pool, large dining room and terrace.  Outstanding views over the Aveyron Valley, described by many of our clients as paradise. Extremely convenient for visits to key attractions in the Aveyron.

Available for stays of 14, 10, 7 and 5 nights or other variations (please contact the owner direct). Rooms at Le Mas de Jouas are also available on a bed and breakfast basis (enquire direct with the owner).

Children welcomed and well catered for, babysitting and on-site catering services available.  Kids can enjoy feeding the ducks and chickens and collecting their eggs!

We have ducks and chickens so if you catch us we would be more than happy to take the children with us to feed them and collect their eggs. Our play area has a slide, climbing frame and swings for older children (from 3 years) and we also have a sandpit, a babyslide, a rocker and a playhouse and numerous other toys.

We offer babysitting service depending on availability.

We also offer catering services where we can either come in cook and serve and of course tidy up, or leave meals prepared for you to finish.  Contact the owners for more information.

We offer 6 luxuriously appointed bedrooms within a converted sheep barn, maintaining many of the original rustic features. All rooms have electric heaters and modern heated towel rails and beautiful ecently renovated parquet flooring. Additonal heating can be supplied on request. Guests are provided with towels for the bathrooms and separate swimming towels can be provided, although we recommend you bring your own. All the beds have high quality professionally laundered linen and duvets.

We can provide cots and a childs bed on request and accompanying linen. We also have potties, childrens toilet seats, childrens' crockery, steriliser, bottle warmer, baby carrier , carry cot and rocker, pop up carry cot/ play cot, and play gym, bath supports and highchairs to help make the family journey more enjoyable! We also have car seats if required. There are also some put-up beds available on request.

The gite is arranged over three floors, the ground floor is accessed from the terrace and includes a large dining room with tables to seat up to 24 people and a living area with a downstairs toilet and a fully modernised new kitchen. The first floor is accessed via stairs from the terrace or (in the case of disabled or elderly only) directly to the balcony via the owners land by permission, the second floor is accessed from a stairway off the balcony.

Three rooms feature patio doors onto the balcony with spectacular views over the valley.  Once we have numbers and groups of families etc. we will arrange the rooms prior to your arrival.

Room 1 - recently renovated to a high standard, and large enough to fit a put up bed or cot, with a comfortable antique framed double bed,  large mirrors, LCD TV, satellite television, wardrobe, leather easy chair, sideboard and desk with a modern en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over.

Room 2 - the largest, bright and airy double room with beautiful double bed, LCD TV and satellite television, wardrobe, leather easy chair, sideboard and desk with a very large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over. Able to take one put up bed or cot.

Room 3 - a very large bright family room, recently redecorated and refurbished to a high standard with the added advantage of two patio doors one of which leads to a private terrace area. It has a large bed and a lovely small double sleigh bed for either an adult or one or two children. This room has two wardrobes, satellite television, a tv with built in DVD and desk. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bath and hand shower. Space available for one extra bed or cot.

On the second floor there are three more rooms, all have been recently redecorated and have wonderful exposed oak beams.

Room 4 - is the smallest of all the double rooms with a wardrobe, satellite LCD television and sideboard, and an en-suite with bath and shower over. There are lovely views over the valley. No space here for extra beds or cot.

Room 5 - is full of character with feature beams, painted wood and a lovely antique framed bed.  This room has a wardrobe, desk and sideboard with LCD satellite television and a large en-suite with bath and shower over. There is space here for a cot but not an additional bed.

Room 6 - is a lovely beamed double aspect room overlooking the valley and garden with twin beds, a desk, small sideboard and satellite televison and DVD.  The en-suite has a bath and hand shower. There is space for one extra bed or cot if the desk is removed. 

About the location

Very close to Villefranche de Rouergue, Le Mas de Jouas is perched on a small hill dominating the valley. The region is made up of three distinct areas: The Lot Valley in the north, the Aveyron Valleys and Gorges in the south and the Causses. With Bastide towns and some of Frances "plus beau (most beautiful)" villages all within easy reach, there is plenty to see.

There is an array of restaraunts in Villefranche de Rouergue only 5kms away or as a very special treat a 3* restaurant only 2kms away. Villefrnache de Rouergue has a wonderful market every Thursday.

Most common day trips are to Figeac, St Cirq la Popie, Belcastel, Najac, Villeneuve and Villefranche de Rouergue.

How to get here

Fly to Rodez (40 minute drive) or Toulouse (1.5 hour drive), travel by train to Villefranche de Rouergue, Montauban or Najac. If travelling by car St. Remy is located on the D922 between Villefranche and Figeac. The Aveyron is approached from the north by the A20 then the D911. From Toulouse in the south, take the A62, then the D926. If arriving at Rodez airport travel west on the D994 and then the D1.
