About the location

The nearest market town is Villedieu-les-Poeles which is 5 miles away, a colourful and bustling town with its bell foundry and copper works dating back to the 12th Century, pewter, lace, pottery and clock workshops, as well as shops, cafes and restaurants, and one of the largest outdoor markets in the area every Tuesday morning.

There are miles of beautiful, uncrowded sandy beaches within half an hours drive on good quiet roads, together with many points of interest such as the famous Mont St Michel, Granville’s working fishing port, the D Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux with its tapestry and the magnificent cathedral at Coutances.

How to get here

• The property is within easy reach of the ports on the northern coast of France, being just an hour away from Caen, 1 hour 20 minutes from Cherbourg and 2 hours 45 minutes from Dieppe.
• It is situated 10 minutes off the main A84 when you leave at junction 39.
• There is also a rail station at Villedieu-Les-Poeles with trains to Paris.
• RyanAir fly to Dinard (1hour 10 minutes) from London Stanstead and East Midlands airports. There is reasonably priced car hire available from Dinard airport through the RyanAir website.
